Attention

When reading this user manual, note that "+" between words indicates they should be written together as one word, and a space between words indicates a single character space.

7. GPRS Configuration for Live Real-Time Tracking

This section details how to configure the device for real-time tracking via GPRS. The device usually auto-configures APN, username, and password. If connection fails, manual configuration via SMS is required.

7.1 APN Setting

APN (Access Point Name) varies by mobile network. Consult your carrier for specific APN details.

7.2 Configure User Name and Password of GPRS

In most countries, GPRS username and password are not required. If your network requires them:

7.3 Configure Domain Name and Port

The default connection is to tracker.baanooliot.com:8090.

7.4 GPRS Mode

8. Function Details

The following functions can be configured via the APP or web version.

8.1 Changing Password

8.2 Authorization

Up to 5 numbers can be authorized.

8.3 Single Tracking

[Image description: A mobile phone screen displaying a map with GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude), speed, timestamp, and a Google Maps link, along with device status indicators like Power, Door, and ACC.]

If GPS signal is lost, the message includes the last known GPS position and LAC code. SMS command position+password retrieves location.

8.4 Sleep Tracking Strategy

Configures the device's power-saving modes.

Note: Time intervals require 3 Arabic numerals (s, m, h). Distance requires 4 Arabic numerals (meters).

8.4.5 Cancel tracking strategy

8.5 Smart Angle Updating

Updates position to the web platform when the vehicle changes direction by a preset angle, improving trace accuracy. Only available in GPRS mode.

8.6 Location Based Service (LBS) / Cell-ID Tracking

If GPS fix is lost, the device uses Cell-ID GSM locating. Reports include last known GPS coordinates and LAC code. In GPRS mode, it switches to LBS tracking.

Note: LBS accuracy depends on GSM signal strength and may not be available everywhere.

8.7 Listen

8.8 Forwarding Incoming SMS Messages

This forwards notification messages to authorized numbers. To cancel, use noforward+password.

8.9 SIM Card Balance Enquiry

This function relies on the GSM network provider's balance check service (e.g., 10086 for China Mobile).

[Diagram description: A flowchart illustrating the SIM card balance enquiry process: Mobile sends balance message to carrier number, Carrier processes and sends back, Tracker receives and executes, Tracker sends balance back to mobile phone, Mobile receives balance message, Carrier (e.g., 10086) receives from number in tracker and processes.]

8.10 ACC ON/OFF Alert

This function is OFF by default.

Notifications are sent to authorized numbers and the web platform.

8.11 Remote Immobilizing

8.12 Fuel Sensor Calibrating

Calibrate the fuel sensor for accurate percentage readings.

Supports original car voltage type fuel sensors (0-5V) or external voltage type sensors.

8.13 Configure Times of Alarm

Set the number of times alarms (SOS, power, oil, door, ACC) are sent. Default is once.

Note: Time value must be 3 digits.

8.14 Alarms

8.14.1 Low battery alarm

Activated by default. Sends "low battery + latitude & longitude" twice at 15-minute intervals when voltage drops near 3.55V.

Press SOS button for 3 seconds (or remote controller button for B/D models). Sends "Help me+latitude& longitude" to authorized numbers. Replying "help me" stops alarms.

8.14.5 Geo-fence

Creates a virtual fence. If the tracker moves outside, an SMS notification "stockade!+latitude &longitude" is sent (or to Web in GPRS mode).

Note: Coordinates define the top-left and bottom-right corners of the geo-fence.

8.14.6 Movement alarm

If the device stays stationary for 3-10 minutes with GPS signal, it can trigger a movement alarm. SMS command move+password+space+0200 (default 200m range) activates it. When out of range, it sends "move + latitude and longitude".

Cancel: nomove+password.

8.14.7 Over speed alarm

SMS command speed+password+space+080 (e.g., 80km/h) activates it. If speed exceeds the set limit, sends "speed+080!+latitude and longitude". Siren sounds for 1 second.

Cancel: nospeed+password.

Note: Recommended speed limit is not less than 30km/h to avoid false alarms due to GPS inaccuracy.

8.14.8 Fuel alarm

Detects abnormal fuel consumption or leakage. Sends "oil: %+latitude & longitude". Siren beeps for 20 seconds.

Stop notification: nooil+password.

8.14.9 Temperature alert (Option)
