FWC-03 Quick Start Guide
Safety Notes ⚠️
- Only use the product according to the instructions provided.
- Do not disassemble the product, immerse it in water or expose it to open flames.
- Do not use the product in high temperature, wet or corrosive environments.
- Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters or other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- Ensure that there are no metal parts (for example, a magnetic metal holder place) on the back of your device whilst charging. Metal can be heated up significantly by the charger and may cause damage to your device and/or the wireless charger.
- Do not put cards with magnetic strips or chips (ID card, credit card etc.) close to the wireless charger to avoid demagnetization.
- Keep the wireless charger at least 20 cm away from implanted medical devices, such as heart pacemakers.
- Ensure that the wireless charger is clear of airbags, safety areas, controls, instruments, etc, and the driver's visibility is not blocked or restricted.
- Keep the product out of the reach of children.
How it works
Mounting Unit Components:
The main mounting unit consists of the following parts:
- 1. Silicon mat: Provides a non-slip surface for the device.
- 2. Adjustable side arms: These arms grip and hold the smartphone.
- 3. Lever: Used in conjunction with the side arms for adjustment.
- 4. Suction cup: For attaching the mount to surfaces like windshields or dashboards.
- 5. Telescopic support pole: Extends and retracts to position the charger.
- 6. Telescopic knob: Used to adjust the length of the telescopic support pole.
- 7. Pivot knob: Used to adjust the angle of the holder.
- 8. Indicator lights: LEDs that display the charger's status.
- 9. Foot: A stabilizing base for the mount.
- 10. Auto-alignment coil: An internal component that helps position the phone for optimal charging.
Air Vent Clip Components:
The air vent attachment includes:
- 1. Touch button: Located on the back, press to release the side arms.
- 2. Angle pivot knob: For fine-tuning the viewing angle.
- 3. Tightening wheel: Secures the air vent clip to the vent.
- 4. Air vent clip: The mechanism that attaches to the car's air vent.
- 5. USB-C charging port: The port for connecting the power cable.
Mounting Options
1. Mounting on suction cup
Follow these steps to attach the mount using the suction cup:
- a. Unscrew the angle pivot knob from the car charger assembly. Place it over the ball joint adapter.
- b. Insert the ball joint into the socket on the back of the charger assembly.
- c. Tighten the angle pivot knob to secure the ball joint.
2. Mounting on a Windscreen or Dashboard with suction cup
Before use, peel off the protective paper film from the suction cup.
- a. Windscreen Mounting: Clean the mounting area on the windscreen. Lift the lever on the suction cup, press it firmly against the windscreen, and then press the lever down to lock it in place.
- b. Dashboard Mounting: Find a flat, clean surface on the dashboard. Lift the lever on the suction cup, press it firmly against the dashboard, and then press the lever down to lock it.
3. Adjusting the telescopic support pole
The telescopic support pole can be adjusted for optimal positioning:
- a. Vertical Adjustment: By turning the pivot knob (7), the telescopic support pole (5) can be moved up or down. Tighten the pivot knob (7) to fix the position.
- b. Extension Adjustment: By turning the telescopic knob (6), the telescopic support pole (5) can be extended or retracted. Tighten the telescopic knob (6) to fix the position. The pole can rotate up to 270°.
4. Mounting on air vent
To attach the mount to your car's air vent:
- a. Unscrew the angle pivot knob from the car charger assembly and place it over the ball joint adapter. Insert the ball into the socket on the back of the charger and tighten the pivot knob.
- b. Select a suitable location on the air vent and clean the surface.
- c. Insert the mount clips into the car air vent and turn the tightening wheel until the holder is secured. The "eagle beak" design at the end of the holder will grip the air outlet firmly to prevent it from falling off. This method is suitable for many car models.
- d. Proceed to Step 5 for power connection.
Note:
- Confirm your car's air vents are compatible before purchasing.
- 5V/1A car chargers are not sufficient to power the Verbatim Qi Fast Wireless Car Charger.
- A Quick Charge 3.0 car charger adapter (not included) or a QC 3.0 USB port in your car is required for Fast Charge Mode.
- Metal attachments, Pop sockets, or credit cards will interfere with charging. Cases which contain metal will trigger foreign object detection and interrupt charging.
- Your device/smartphone needs to be compatible with Qi Standard, minimum 5W.
- Fast Wireless Charging is supported with 7.5W to 15W (power varies between manufacturers of your device/smartphone).
5. Power connection
Connect the charger to power:
- a. Plug the included USB-C cable into the wireless car charger port.
- b. For fast charging, you need a QC 3.0 adapter (not included) or a QC 3.0 capable USB-A charging port in your car.
- If using an adapter, connect it to the lighter plug (1).
- Connect the USB-A end of the cable to the adapter.
- If a USB-A charging port (2) is available in your car, you can use it directly.
- c. Touch the button on the top back of the charger. Place your phone onto the charger. The charger will automatically align the phone by moving its internal coil up and down to find the best charging position. Charging will start automatically when the best spot is found (if supported by the phone). This auto-aligning process might take some time.

6. Inserting/removing phone
After mounting the holder and connecting power, insert your phone. The arms will close automatically. The phone will start charging automatically if it supports Qi. The green status LEDs on both sides will switch to blue.
To open the arms while the device is charging and connected to power, touch the button on the top back. After touching the button, the arms will release your phone, allowing you to take it out.

Verbatim GmbH warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase. This warranty excludes batteries. If the product is found to be defective within the warranty period, it will be replaced at no cost to you. You may return it with your original cash register receipt to the place of purchase or contact Verbatim. Product replacement is your sole remedy under this warranty. This warranty does not apply to normal wear or to damage resulting from abnormal use, misuse, abuse, neglect, or accident, or to any incompatibility or poor performance due to specific computer software or hardware used. Verbatim will not be liable for data loss or any incidental, consequential, or special damages, however caused, for breach of warranties or otherwise. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state or country to country.
