Safety Information
⚠️ WARNING! This symbol denotes a hazard. It calls attention to a procedure that if not correctly performed or adhered to could result in injury or loss of life. Do not proceed beyond a warning note until the indicated conditions are fully understood and met.
⚠️ CAUTION! Denotes a hazard. It calls attention to a procedure that, if not correctly performed or adhered to, could result in damage or destruction of the product. Do not proceed beyond a caution sign until the indicated conditions are fully understood and met.
A. Mounting
⚠️ CAUTION! DO NOT rest the inverter vertically on the connectors.
⚠️ CAUTION! Do not block airflow.
The inverter is designed for wall mounting. Ensure adequate clearance:
- 10 cm clearance on the sides.
- 20 cm clearance below.
- Optional antenna location is indicated.
Installation steps involve:
- Mounting the bracket securely to the wall using appropriate screws and wall plugs (max M10).
- Lifting the inverter (37 KG) and positioning it onto the bracket.
- Securing the inverter to the bracket using screws, torqued to 4 N*m.
B. Wiring
⚠️ WARNING! HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE INSTALLATION OR SERVICE.
⚠️ WARNING! Before installing or operating the Inverter, read the Safety and Handling instructions provided with this product.
⚠️ WARNING! Connect the grounding wire first.
⚠️ WARNING! Connect a ground cable according to local regulation.
⚠️ CAUTION! DO NOT use a circuit breaker with a rated current of more than 16A.
Wiring connections include:
- Grounding: Connect the grounding wire (green/yellow) to the designated terminal.
- DC PV String Connections: Connect PV String 1 and PV String 2 to their respective terminals.
- AC Connection: Connect the AC power lines (L1, L2, L3, N) to the AC terminal block. Ensure wire size is appropriate (e.g., 8 mm) and torque is 1.5 N*m. Maximum wire diameter for AC is 6 mm.
- Ferrules: Use ferrules for AC wire connections as shown.
The AC switch should be in the OFF position during installation.
C. SolarEdge Home Network Connection
Connect the SolarEdge Home Network using an inline meter or the backup interface. Use CAT5e/6 cables for communication. Torque for connections is 1.1 N*m.
D. Battery Connection
Connect the battery to the inverter using the provided Communication Cable and CAT5e/6 cable. Ensure maximum cable length is 5 meters. Torque specifications are 2.2 N*m for one connection and 8 N*m for another.
E. Chaining Multiple Inverters
Multiple inverters can be chained together. Connections are made via RS485-2, LAN cable, or CAT5e/6 cable. Designate one inverter as the 'Leader (first)' and others as 'Follower' or 'Follower (last)'. Torque for connections is 1.5 N*m.
F. Backup Interface Connection
The Backup Interface can be connected using CAT5e/6 cables. It can also be connected wirelessly. Torque for connections is 1.5 N*m.
G. Meter Connection
The meter can be connected if the Backup Interface is not used. An inline meter can also be connected wirelessly. Use CAT5e/6 cables. Torque for connections is 1.5 N*m.
H. LAN Connection
Connect the inverter to a router using an Ethernet Cable or CAT5e/6 cable for network access. In a leader-follower configuration, the LAN connection must be made to the Leader inverter.
I. Commissioning the Inverter
Follow these steps to commission the inverter:
- Turn the inverter ON.
- Press and hold the 'P' button for 2 seconds and release.
- Run the SolarEdge SetApp on a mobile device and follow the on-screen instructions for configuration.
Torque for securing components is 4 N*m.
J. LED Indications
The inverter status is indicated by LEDs:
- Red: Fault
- Green: Power production
- Blinking Green: Grid connection OK
- Blue: Communication OK
