Product Overview

This manual provides detailed information for the KEMOVE DK 61 series mechanical keyboards, including the wired DK 61 and the Bluetooth-enabled DK 61 PRO models. These keyboards feature a compact 60% layout, customizable RGB backlighting, and advanced functionality.

DK 61 Wired Layout

The DK 61 wired keyboard features a standard QWERTY layout in a 60% form factor. The layout includes all essential keys for typing and gaming, with secondary functions accessible via the Fn key.

DK 61 PRO Bluetooth Layout

The DK 61 PRO shares the same compact 60% QWERTY layout as the wired model but adds Bluetooth connectivity. It supports pairing with multiple devices and offers wireless operation.

Keyboard Functionality

Fn Key Combinations

The Fn key unlocks a range of secondary functions and customization options. Below are the primary Fn key combinations:

Backlight Control

Keys Function
Fn + [ Increases backlight brightness in 21 grades (0%-100% in 5% intervals). The corresponding LED flashes white five times when maximum brightness is reached.
Fn + P Decreases backlight brightness in 21 grades (100%-0% in 5% intervals). The corresponding LED flashes white five times when minimum brightness is reached.
Fn + ] Cycles through pre-set backlight effects: Full Green, RGB, Cycling Spectrum, Windmill, Glorious Waterfall (selectable via software). Pressing the keys again cycles through the available options.
Fn + \ | Activates interactive backlight modes: Single Lighting, Aurora, Key Ripple, Music Lighting (frequency-division music mode). Options cannot be changed via software but can be updated via firmware refresh. Pressing the keys cycles through the modes.
Fn + ; : Slows down the light effect speed. Offers five adjustable speed grades. The corresponding LED flashes white five times when minimum speed is reached.
Fn + ' Speeds up the light effect. Offers five adjustable speed grades. The corresponding LEDs flash white five times when maximum and minimum speeds are reached.
Fn + Backspace Switches off the backlight effect.

Mode Switching

Keys Function
Fn + Q Switches to online mode/standard mode. The F9 key glows white while Fn is pressed, returning to the current effect upon release.
Fn + W Switches to custom offline mode 1/standard mode. The W key glows white while Fn is pressed, returning to the current effect upon release.
Fn + E Switches to custom offline mode 2/standard mode. The E key glows white while Fn is pressed, returning to the current effect upon release.
Fn + R Switches to custom offline mode 3/standard mode. The R key glows white while Fn is pressed, returning to the current effect upon release.

System & Utility Functions

Keys Function
Caps Lock Toggles Caps Lock on/off. The Caps Lock indicator light glows white when active and does not follow the current backlight effect. When inactive, it follows the current backlight effect.
Fn + ESC + Q Initiates factory reset mode (long press for 3 seconds). All custom configurations and light effects will be cleared and require reconfiguration via software.
Fn + TAB Powers off the keyboard (long press for 3 seconds).
Fn + V | Enters test mode (long press for 3 seconds). The keyboard cycles through white, red, green, and blue lighting continuously. Pressing the keys again switches between colors.
Fn + Left WIN Key Locks/unlocks the Windows key. When unlocked, the WIN key light effect matches the current backlight. When locked, the WIN key light effect is always red. ? [Win Key Locked] / ? [Win Key Unlocked]

Bluetooth Connection (DK 61 PRO)

The DK 61 PRO supports Bluetooth connectivity for wireless operation. It can be paired with up to three devices.

Pairing and Indicators

Key/Indicator Function
CAP Indicator Glows white when Caps Lock is active.
WIN LOCK Indicator Glows white when the Windows key is locked.
Alt R Charging Indicator
  • Charging Normally: Alt and R keys glow yellow continuously.
  • Fully Charged: Alt and R keys stop glowing yellow and resume the current backlight mode.
  • Low Battery (<3.5V): Alt and R keys flash red at approximately 1Hz.

Bluetooth Pairing Procedures

Keys Procedure
Fn + Z (Pair with Device 1)

Long Press (3 seconds): Initiates pairing with equipment No. 1. The red-and-green light under key 1 flashes at 2Hz to search for a Bluetooth device. Search lasts for 20 seconds.

  • Successful Pairing: Key 1 glows blue and returns to the current light effect after two seconds, indicating Bluetooth input status for Device 1. The blue light is on when Fn is pressed and returns to the current effect upon release.
  • Short Press (FN + 1): If Bluetooth is connected, disconnects the Bluetooth connection (disables blue light indication) and enters USB connection mode. If no USB connection is available, it enters standby state. If Bluetooth is not connected, it disconnects the current USB connection and searches for the last connected Bluetooth device. The blue light flashes slowly at 1Hz and stays on for two seconds after successful connection before returning to the current light effect.
  • No Pairing Device: If no device is found after 10 seconds of searching, the keyboard resumes wired connection status or standby status.

Fn + C (Pair with Device 3)

Long Press (3 seconds): Initiates pairing with equipment No. 3. The red-and-green light under key 3 flashes at 2Hz to search for a Bluetooth device. Search lasts for 20 seconds.

  • Successful Pairing: Key 3 glows blue and returns to the current light effect after two seconds, indicating Bluetooth input status for Device 3. The blue light is on when Fn is pressed and returns to the current effect upon release.
  • Short Press (FN + 3): If Bluetooth is connected, disconnects the Bluetooth connection (disables blue light indication) and enters USB connection mode. If no USB connection is available, it enters standby state. If Bluetooth is not connected, it disconnects the current USB connection and searches for the last connected Bluetooth device. Fn + Spacebar

Quick Switch Between Wired/Bluetooth:

  1. Wired to Bluetooth: Disconnects the current USB connection and searches for the last connected Bluetooth device. The blue light of the last connected device flashes slowly at 1Hz, then stays on for two seconds if the connection is successful, indicating Bluetooth input status. If no device is found after 10 seconds of searching, it resumes wired connection status or standby status.
  2. Bluetooth to Wired: Turns off the blue light connection indication, disconnecting the current Bluetooth device and entering USB connection mode. If no USB connection is available, it enters standby status.
