3. About Micro SD Card

Placing and removing the SD card

The dashcam supports Micro SD cards up to 128GB. The Micro SD card Port is placed on the right of the dashcam.

To insert: Insert the SD card. After about two-thirds of the way, you will feel some resistance from a spring. Keep pressing until you hear a click sound. The SD card is now secured.

To remove: Press the SD card again until you hear the same click sound. The SD card will be pushed out of the dashcam.

Formatting the SD card

The Micro SD card must be formatted in the dashcam before the first use. Do so by connecting with the AZDOME app, navigating to the system setting menu, and selecting 'Format SD'. Note that all data will be removed from the card.

  2. Insert the Micro SD card into the Micro SD slot of the dashcam.
  3. Fix the Dashcam to the original mirror with the rubber straps provided.

  7. Format the Micro SD card in the dashcam's menu.

Note: Please use an A-Brand high-speed Micro SD card (Class 10 UHS-I or above).

Rear camera installation (Rearcam is optional, not included in the package)

The optional rear camera comes with a 6-meter cable that is connected to the front camera. Follow these steps for installation:

  1. Connect the DC jack to the AV IN port of the front dashcam.
  2. Route the cable to the rear of the car where the rear camera is to be placed.
  3. Place the rear camera on the rear window using the adhesive stickers provided.
  4. (Optional) Use the anti-stick pad before placing the mount on the rear window for easier removal of the camera later.

Diagram Description (Car Interior Wiring): Two diagrams illustrate wiring. The first shows a simplified view of the front dashcam (A) and rear camera (B) connected via cables routed through the car's interior, dashboard, and to the rear window. The second diagram shows a top-down view of a car interior, highlighting the placement of the rear camera on the rear windshield and its connection cable.

5. Turning the Dashcam On and Off

Note: This is a None-Screen Dashcam; it does not have a physical power button. It turns on automatically when connected to a power source.

Check if the camera turns On and Off properly by supplying power to the dashcam with the included cigarette power cable in your car.

The dashcam will power on and start recording automatically when power is supplied to the USB port (when the ignition is turned on). It will stop recording and turn off automatically when the power is cut (when the ignition is turned off).

This dashcam has the option to connect to your Android Phone or iPhone to instantly view and download recorded videos, and to change settings. The dashcam broadcasts a WiFi network named "AZDOME" for the app to connect to the camera.

The app is available for free in the App Store and Google Play store.

Recorder Setting

Firmware Update

The dashcam comes with the latest firmware installed. Firmware is updated regularly to introduce new functions and improve performance. If the camera is unresponsive or resetting doesn't help, updating the firmware can be useful. The latest version is available from https://www.azdome.hk/downloads.html.

To update the firmware, follow these steps:

  1. Put an empty Micro SD card in your PC and remove all files and folders.
  2. Download the latest firmware, ensuring you select the correct model.
  3. Place the downloaded file (all files) on the root of the Micro SD card.
  4. Turn off the dashcam and insert the Micro SD card.
  5. Press the WiFi button, then power on the dashcam. When the red indicator flashes, release your finger; the dashcam will update automatically.

The dashcam will update the firmware automatically, which may take a few minutes. Do not turn off the power during the update process, as it may interfere with it.

9. GPS Player

This dashcam has a GPS receiver that stores GPS data in every video file. Using the GPS receiver, the location of every video is recorded, and the current speed is shown in the video. AZDOME's GPS player allows videos to be viewed alongside GPS locations on Google Maps. G-sensor activity is also shown in the lower part of the player.

AZDOME's GPS player is available for Mac and Windows. Download it from www.azdome.hk.

GPS Player Interface Description: The player interface shows a map view (e.g., Google Maps), video playback controls, speed indicator, and G-sensor activity graph. It displays file name, duration, create date, size, and resolution.

Troubleshooting Google Maps:

If Google maps cannot load properly, try the following operations:

  1. Run GPS Player as Administrator on Windows (right-click the App, then choose 'Run as Administrator').
  2. Upgrade Internet Explorer to IE 10 or above.
  3. If issues persist, contact AZDOME support at info1@azdome.hk.
