Products marked with the symbol are double insulated (Insulation Class II). Products without this mark are Class I (rely on safety earth for protection).
WARNING: To avoid risk of electric shock, Class I products must only be connected to a supply mains with protective earth.
At the end of their service life, electric and electronic equipment and accessories shall not be discarded with municipal waste but disposed of using separate collection, treatment, recovery/recycling, and environmentally sound disposal. This applies to potentially biohazardous parts as well. If in doubt, contact local authorities.
Cautions to Observe Prior to Use
The intended use for this product is to charge a battery or power an electrical accessory (NiCd/NiMH, Lead-Acid, Lithium-Ion or LiFePO4 batteries).
This product may be used by unskilled operators if instructions are followed. Unskilled operators may contact the supplier or manufacturer for assistance.
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if supervised and hazards are understood. Keep small children away from cables (strangulation risk) and small parts (inhalation/swallowing risk).
Keep animals away from this product. Animals may damage cables, posing a risk of electric shock and excessive temperatures. Cables and small parts can also pose a strangulation risk to animals.
If the product has a mains cord, check it for damage. If damaged, the product must not be used until the cord is replaced by qualified personnel.
The mains socket outlet used should always be easily accessible for immediate removal of the product's mains supply in case of an operational error. If the product has a detachable mains cord, the appliance coupler can be used as a disconnect device.
The product is "switched on" by inserting the mains plug and "switched off" by disconnecting it.
The product may be connected to an IT type mains supply.
For use in U.S.A.: Use a 125V 15A receptacle configuration. Use a UL817-standard compliant mains cord (NEMA 1-15 plug, SJT or SVT cord).
For use outside U.S.A: Use a mains cord compliant with country-specific requirements.
Power-up time may exceed 15 seconds.
Should an operational error or unexpected performance change occur, disconnect the product from the mains immediately and contact the supplier or manufacturer.
When not in use, disconnect the product from the mains to reduce hazards, environmental impact, and save electricity costs.
To avoid overheating, ensure sufficient room for air circulation. Do not cover the product.
Further Precautions and Information
Although this product complies with relevant safety standards, avoid prolonged contact with human skin, as some people may develop allergies or injuries from contact with moderate temperatures and/or plastic materials.
Read respective User Manuals for accessories and interconnected equipment before use.
If the product has exchangeable output plugs, refer to the separate page for assembly.
Output cables with modular plugs (like telephone connectors) must never be connected to a telephone outlet.
Products with welded plastic housing or IP67 rating are not repairable. The supply cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged, the appliance should be scrapped. Contact your supplier for a replacement part.
This product contains hazardous voltages and has no user-replaceable parts inside. Never attempt to remove the cover.
WARNING: No modification of this equipment is allowed. Any repair/service should be carried out by qualified personnel.
Products with automatic polarity protection must be switched off if a battery is connected with reverse polarity. Protection resets automatically when polarity is corrected.
In chargers with a replaceable fuse for polarity protection, replace the fuse if the battery was connected with reverse polarity. Use the same type and rating for replacement.
If specified to comply with IEC60601-1 for Medical Electrical Equipment, it meets some requirements and may be used in medical applications and hospital environments.
Keep away from flammable anesthetic gases or other flammable/explosive atmospheres.
If specified to comply with IEC60601-1-11 for Home Healthcare Environment, it may be used in home healthcare medical applications.
NOTE! Class I products (relying on safety earth) for home healthcare must be permanently wired to the building installation by qualified personnel. Earth conductor must be min. 0.75 mm². Connect to external protective earthing system and verify its integrity.
This product converts mains voltage to safety extra low voltage. Products with 2MOPP insulation (model names ending in "P") may be Type B or Type BF Applied Part according to EN/IEC 60601-1, allowing physical contact with a patient. Patient must not touch the housing. Building-in models ("B" or "BP") are Type B Applied Part only.
Operating Environment and Handling
Operate within temperature range +5 to +40°C, 15-93% RH, 70-106 kPa. If stored outside this range, wait 30 minutes before operating.
Expected service life: 3 years (if operated as indicated). Refer to "TERMS OF SALES AND DELIVERY FOR MASCOT AS" for warranty.
Transport/storage parameters: -25 to +85°C, 15-93% RH, 70-106 kPa.
For longer storage: +5 to +35°C, 10-75% RH, 70-106 kPa to maintain service life.
Expected shelf life: 1 year (if stored as indicated).
Complies with EMC requirements for medical electric equipment, residential, office, light industrial environments. Potential for interference with other devices. Disconnect and consult technician if suspected.
No special maintenance required. Clean with a dry cloth when disconnected if dusty.
For plastic casings, avoid contact with lotions, oils, grease, solvents. Keep away from UV-light and direct sunlight.
Position, operate, and store under foreseeable environmental conditions (magnetic fields, EM fields, ESD, pressure, acceleration).
Use in vehicles only when the vehicle is not in use.
Position product so label is readable, within 40 cm of operator.
Turn off and allow to cool before moving.
Instructions for Using Power Supplies
Follow cautions indicated above.
When connected to mains, an LED might light. The Power Supply is then ready to use.
LEDs of colors other than red or yellow may indicate connection to mains supply.
Connecting Plugs & Mounting
How to connect exchangeable DC-output plugs
1. Polarity is marked on both plug ends for correct connection.
2. Female plug is marked on each side to identify polarity.
3. Shows center polarity of the plug.
How to connect exchangeable AC-plugs
Available AC plugs:
- "EURO": 250V 2.5A (EN50075/IEC83 C5 II)
- "US": 125V 2.5A (NEMA 1-15 / CSA-C22.2 No.42)
- "UK": 250V 13A (BS 1363)
- "AUS": 250V 10A (AS/NZS 3112)

Mounting and Use for Bracket Mascot, Part No. 205800
Wall Mount: Fix bracket using screws suitable for wall material (head diameter 8-9.5mm, head height max 3mm, thread diameter 4-5.5mm, thread length min 16mm). Use four screws.
Place Power Supply/Charger centered on bracket, aligning bottom housing slot with bracket tabs.
Push "Push" handle down while pushing product against wall. Release to lock. Push "Push" handle down while pulling product away from wall to release.
If not wall-mounted, bracket can be used as a handle following the same procedure.
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
The EMC EN60601-1-2 standard regulates requirements for electromagnetic compatibility to prevent unsafe product situations. It defines immunity levels and maximum emission levels for medical devices.
Mascot medical devices are tested and conform to IEC/EN 60601-1-2 (3rd & 4th edition), but special precautions may be needed.
Mascot products are suitable for Domestic, Residential, Office, and Hospital environments, except in locations with high EM Disturbances (e.g., near High Frequency Surgical Equipment or MRI systems).
When used as specified, users can expect essential performance, such as powering medical electrical devices or charging batteries.
WARNING: Avoid using this equipment adjacent to or stacked with other equipment, as it may cause improper operation. If necessary, monitor both units to ensure normal function.
WARNING: Using accessories, transducers, or cables not provided by the manufacturer may increase electromagnetic emissions or decrease immunity, leading to improper operation.
WARNING: Portable RF communications equipment should be used no closer than 30 cm (12 inches) to any part of the power supply or battery charger, including cables, to avoid performance degradation.
Guidance and Manufacturer's Declaration
Mascot products are intended for the specified electromagnetic environment. The customer/user must ensure it is used in such an environment.

These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic propagation is affected by structures, objects, people, and fixed transmitters. EM site surveys may be considered for assessing the environment. If measured field strength exceeds applicable RF compliance levels, observe the product for normal operation. Abnormal performance may require re-orientation or relocation.
