Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Teslong NTG Rifle Borescope. This user manual is suitable for the NTG450, NTG450H, and NTG450P digital photo/video borescopes. Please read the manual carefully before operating the device and keep it for future reference.

⚠️ This device is NOT for medical use or human examination.

Product Description

The NTG450 series comprises stand-alone digital photo/video borescopes from Teslong, including the NTG450 flexible borescope, the NTG450H rigid borescope, and the NTG450P pistol borescope. These borescopes are equipped with a 4.5-inch color screen, allowing firearms enthusiasts to inspect gun barrels anytime and anywhere without the need for a phone or PC. The borescope camera has a diameter of 0.2 inches, making it easy to access .20 caliber and larger barrels. A detachable side-view mirror allows users to check the barrel wall or be removed to inspect the firing point.

Device Controls

The device features several buttons for operation:

  • 1. Camera probe connector: Connects the borescope probe.
  • 2. Shutter button: Take a photo / Start video recording / End video recording.
  • 3. Light control button: Adjust the ring light LED's brightness.
  • 4. Up and down selection button / Rotate 180°: Navigate menus and rotate the image.
  • 5. Mode switch button: Switch between three function modes: Photo taking, video recording, and playback.
  • 6. Enter button: Confirm selection / Freeze the screen.
  • 7. Settings button: Enter/exit settings menu.
  • 8. Power button: Press and hold for a few seconds to turn ON/OFF the device.

  • 9. TF card slot: For storing photos and videos.
  • 10. Charging port: Type-C port for charging the device.
  • 11. Camera probe lock: Press to unlock and pull out the camera probe.
  • 12. Speaker: For audio playback.
  • 13. Screen bracket: For mounting or positioning the screen.
  • 14. Reset button: For resetting the device.
  • 15. Microphone: For recording audio.
  • 16. Side Viewing Mirror: Attaches to the probe for side views.
  • 17. Mirror Locking Ring: Secures the side-view mirror.
  • 18. Borescope Camera: The camera head of the probe.
  • 19. LED Lights: Integrated LEDs on the probe for illumination.
  • 20. Connector: Connects the probe to the adapter cable.
  • 21. Type-C Plug: Connects the adapter cable to the monitor.

How To Use The Borescope

Connect the probe to the cable

Follow these steps to connect the borescope probe to the adapter cable:

  1. A: Align the groove with the red dot and insert the probe connector into the cable connector.
  2. B: Rotate the collar to tighten and secure the connection.

Adjust Side-View Focus

The borescope probe has a threaded, adjustable-focus design. After installing the side-view mirror, adjust the distance between the mirror and the camera and fix the mirror with the lock ring to obtain sharper focus.

For example:

  • A. For a .22 caliber barrel: Screw the mirror out to a position farther away from the camera and fix in place with the lock ring. (Diagram shows dimensions 5.56mm, 7.2mm, 2.78mm).
  • B. For a .30 caliber barrel: Screw the mirror into a position closer to the camera. (Diagram shows dimensions 7.62mm, 6.2mm, 3.8mm).

Tips: Dirty lenses and mirrors are a common cause of bad images. Please use the provided cloth to clean the lens and the side-view mirror for a sharper image.

How To Use The Software

Instructions

  • Press and hold the Power button for a few seconds to turn the device ON/OFF.
  • The device is equipped with a TF memory card. Gently press the card to eject it.
  • To release the Type-C camera probe: First, press the silver button on the back of the monitor near the plug insertion point, then pull out the Type-C plug from the monitor.
  • To install the camera probe: Just insert the Type-C plug until it clicks.

Insert the Micro SD card

  1. Power off the device first.
  2. Insert the Micro SD card with the label side down, and the conductors on the top back side of the card.
  3. Do not use excessive force when inserting or removing the Micro SD card; it should insert easily without resistance.

Modes and Settings

Operating Modes

Use the Ⓜ️ [M button] to switch between the three modes: Photo taking, Video recording, and Playback.

TF card status: Indicates if a TF card is inserted or not.

Date and time: Can be modified in the Settings menu.

Language Settings

The default language is English. The system supports English, Chinese, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, and Japanese.

Setting path:

  1. Press the ⚙️ [Settings button] twice to enter the settings page.
  2. Select the second item (Language) on the settings page.
  3. Press the Up and Down keys (⬆️/⬇️) to select the desired language.
  4. Press the [OK button] to save your choice.

Photo Taking/Video Recording/Playback

Press the Ⓜ️ [M button] to switch to the photo taking or video recording mode. Press the ? [Shutter button] to take a photo or start recording.

Playback Mode

Press the Ⓜ️ [M button] to switch to playback mode. Press the ⬆️/⬇️ keys to select a photo or video to view. Press the ⚙️ [Settings button] to delete a photo or video.

How To Copy Photos And Video Files To Your Computer

You can copy data from your removed Micro SD card using a Micro SD card reader or by connecting the device to a computer using a Type-C cable.

⚠️ Please pull out the camera probe first before using the Type-C cable.

Charge The Monitor

Please use a 5V household charger that meets safety regulations to charge this device.

This device can work while charging.

If you do not use the device for a long time, ensure to charge it at least once every 3 months to prevent irreparable damage caused by excessive battery discharge.
