System Overview
This document provides installation guidance for the Adastra A22 Amplifier and associated Wall Speakers. The system is designed for audio distribution and public address applications.
The accompanying diagram visually represents the connection setup:
- Two wall speakers are shown connected to the amplifier's speaker outputs using red and black wires.
- The A22 amplifier unit is depicted with various connection ports on its rear panel:
- Output to further amplifiers: RCA connectors for daisy-chaining audio signals.
- Line inputs: Two RCA sockets labelled "AUX 2" and "AUX 3" for connecting external audio sources such as CD players, laptops, MP3 players, or TV tuners.
- FM aerial input: An F-connector labelled "FM ANTENNA" for connecting an external FM antenna.
- Power input: A socket designed for a power cable, supporting 100-240Vac at 50/60Hz.
- LINE OUT: RCA connectors on the rear panel used to output the combined audio signal to another amplifier.
Additionally, the front panel of the amplifier features:
- AUX1 input: A 3.5mm stereo jack for an additional line input.
- Microphone input: A 6.3mm mono jack suitable for microphone announcements.
Connection Details and Recommendations
- The amplifier's speaker outputs are configured for connecting 2 x 8Ω speakers. Alternatively, a single 8Ω or 4Ω speaker can be connected.
- To ensure optimal FM reception, it is recommended to connect an external FM aerial to the "FM ANTENNA" connector.
- Multiple audio sources can be connected simultaneously via the "AUX 2" and "AUX 3" RCA inputs, or the front panel "AUX1" 3.5mm input.
- The 6.3mm mono jack input is specifically for microphone use, facilitating announcements.
- The "LINE OUT" RCA connectors provide a convenient way to link the A22 amplifier's audio output to a secondary amplifier, expanding the system's reach.
