Limited Warranty

All pond boss® pumps and electrical products are warranted against defective material and workmanship under normal working conditions. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase by the original purchaser.

  • Pond and Waterfall pumps: 3 years
  • pond boss® liners: 20 years
  • All other pond boss® products: 90 days
  • Standard electrical products (unless otherwise specified): 1 year

Warranty Conditions:

  • Covers only properly installed and maintained units.
  • Damage to the cord or modification of the unit invalidates the warranty.
  • Pump warranty is limited to fresh water applications in ponds or fountains. Other liquid applications or extreme temperatures require manufacturer approval in writing.
  • Receipt and product date code are required for warranty claims.

Contact customer service at 1-888-755-6750. If deemed defective, authorization will be given to return the part(s) freight pre-paid, along with proof of purchase.

The Solar Floating Pond Aerator is intended for:

This unit can be used by children aged 8 and above, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they are supervised or instructed on safe use and understand the potential hazards. Do not allow children to play with the unit. Do not allow children to clean or maintain the unit without close supervision.

Safe Operation

  • Use only original spare parts and accessories.
  • For electrical units and installations with a rated voltage > 12 V AC or >30 V DC located in water: Isolate units and installations (switch off and disconnect power supply) before reaching into the water.
  • Protect the unit from knocks or vibration.
  • Clean the unit at least twice a year.

Installation and Connection

Do not submerge the unit! Possible consequence: The unit will be destroyed. Protective measures: Protect the air intake socket from water ingress.

How to proceed:

  1. Connect the air hose to the aeration stone.
  2. Fit the air hose to the float.
  3. Place the float onto the water.

Remedy of Faults

Malfunction Cause Remedy
Unit does not deliver any air or amount delivered is insufficient. Aeration stone is soiled. Clean the aeration stone.
Air hose kinked or porous. Lay the air hose without kinks or replace it.
Air hose not correctly fitted. Check the air hose fitting.
Insufficient sunlight. Ensure the unit is placed in direct sunlight.

Cleaning

Do not submerge the unit! Possible consequence: The unit will be destroyed. Protective measures: Protect the air intake socket from water ingress.

The unit must be removed from the water for cleaning or maintenance.

  • Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions, as they could damage the housing or impair function.
  • Recommended cleaning agent for stubborn limescale deposits: Vinegar- and chlorine-free household cleaning agent.
  • Clean the solar module with a damp cloth and wipe dry.

Storage / Overwintering

Observe the permissible operating temperature range (refer to Technical Data).

  • If limit values are exceeded or gone below, remove the unit. Clean thoroughly and check for damage.
  • Store the unit in a dry, frost-free place.

Disposal

?️ Do not dispose of this unit with domestic waste! For disposal purposes, please use the provided return system. Disable the unit beforehand by cutting off the cables.
