Intel & AMD Bracket Overview
The included brackets are designed for various Intel and AMD CPU sockets. The diagrams illustrate the different bracket types for Intel LGA sockets (LGA1200/115X+20XX, LGA1700) and AMD AM4/AM5 platforms.
Intel LGA1700 Installation
Follow these steps to install the cooler on an Intel LGA1700 socket:
- Attach the LGA1700 backplate to the motherboard from the rear. The washer on this backplate is blue.
- Turn the motherboard to the front. Place the LGA1700 standoffs and then the bracket. Secure by tightening nuts.
- Apply a thin layer of thermal grease onto the CPU surface.
- Mount the water block and secure it.
Intel LGA1200/115X Installation
Follow these steps to install the cooler on an Intel LGA1200/115X socket:
- Attach the LGA1200/115X backplate to the motherboard from the rear. The washer on this backplate is white.
- Turn the motherboard to the front. Place the LGA1200/115X standoffs and then the bracket. Secure by tightening nuts.
- Apply a thin layer of thermal grease onto the CPU surface.
- Mount the water block and secure it.
Intel LGA20XX Installation
Follow these steps to install the cooler on an Intel LGA20XX socket:
- Thread the LGA20XX standoffs into the motherboard mounting holes.
- Attach the bracket and secure it by tightening nuts.
- Apply a thin layer of thermal grease onto the CPU surface.
- Mount the water block and secure it.
AMD AM4/AM5 Installation
Follow these steps to install the cooler on an AMD AM4/AM5 socket:
- Remove the plastic retention from the motherboard, but keep the original backplate.
- Attach the standoffs to the backplate, insert screws through the bracket, and tighten them onto the backplate. The AM4 standoff color is red; the AM5 standoff color is grey.
- Apply a thin layer of thermal grease onto the CPU surface.
- Mount the water block and secure it.
Radiator/Fan Mounting
Follow these steps to mount the radiator and fans:
- Use the fan-radiator mounting screws to secure the fan(s) onto the radiator.
- Use the radiator mounting screws to secure the radiator to the case panel.
