- Keep children and bystanders away.
Electrical Safety:
- Ensure plugs match outlets. Do not modify plugs.
- Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces.
- Do not expose to rain or wet conditions.
- Do not damage the cord. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts.
- Use an outdoor extension cord if operating outdoors.
- Use a residual current device (RCD) if operating in damp locations.
Personal Safety:
- Stay alert, use common sense, and do not use when tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, dust masks, safety footwear, hard hats, or hearing protection as required.
- Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is off before connecting to power.
- Remove any adjusting keys or wrenches before turning the tool on.
- Maintain proper footing and balance at all times.
- Do not overreach. Keep proper balance and footing.
- Wear appropriate clothing. Avoid loose clothing, jewelry, or long hair that could get caught in moving parts.
- Ensure dust extraction and collection equipment is connected and used properly.
- Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use override safety principles.
Power Tool Use and Care:
- Do not force the tool. Use the correct power tool for your application.
- Ensure the switch correctly turns the tool on and off.
- Disconnect the power plug and/or remove the battery pack before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the tool.
- Store tools out of reach of children and untrained persons.

- Use the power tool, accessories, and bits according to these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed.
- Keep handles and gripping surfaces dry, clean, and free from oil and grease.
Specific Safety Precautions for Hammering:
- Always wear hearing protection. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
- Always wear a dust mask.
- Always wear safety glasses.
Safety Precautions for Drilling with Long Drill Bits:
- Always start drilling at a low speed and with the drill bit tip in contact with the workpiece.
- Apply pressure in a straight line with the bit and do not apply excessive pressure.
Operating Instructions
Assembly:
- Mounting the Auxiliary Handle (Fig. A): Rotate the handle counter-clockwise to loosen the clamping ring. Slide the clamping ring over the drill's handle sleeve and rotate the handle to the desired working position. Tighten the handle clockwise. The auxiliary handle must be used during operation.
- Mounting the Depth Gauge (Fig. B): Loosen the locking screw (a) on the auxiliary handle. Insert the depth gauge into the handle sleeve. Adjust to the desired drilling depth. Tighten the locking screw.
- Inserting and Removing the Bit (Fig. C): Clean and lightly lubricate the bit before insertion. Insert the bit into the tool holder with a twisting motion until it locks. Check the lock by pulling the tool. To remove, pull back the tool holder sleeve and pull out the bit. Use only high-quality SDS bits.
Operation:
- Trigger Switch (Fig. D): Press the trigger switch to start. The speed is variable and controlled by the pressure applied to the switch.
- Lock-on Button (Fig. E): To lock the tool on, press the trigger switch, then the lock-on button, and release the trigger switch. To turn off, simply press and release the trigger switch.
- Changing Rotation Direction (Fig. F1, F2): With the tool facing away from you, press the forward/reverse lever. To reverse, press the lever again. Never change the direction of rotation while the tool is running.
- Mode Selection (Fig. G): Press the release button (b) and rotate the mode selection dial to choose the desired function: drilling with hammering (concrete/brick), drilling (steel/wood/plastic), or chiseling. Ensure the dial is locked in place.
