Application

The Blauberg Box-FI series are centrifugal fans designed for supply and extract ventilation systems in various premises. They are compatible with rectangular air ducts ranging from 400x200 mm up to 1000x500 mm.

Design Features

The fans feature an atmospheric resistant galvanized steel casing and impeller. The casing is heat- and sound-insulated with 50 mm mineral wool, ensuring efficient and quiet operation. The fan is rated for continuous operation and is fitted with standard 20 mm connecting flanges for easy integration with rectangular air ducts. An access cover is provided on the casing for inspection and maintenance.

Motor

Equipped with four- or six-pole asynchronous motors featuring an external rotor and a centrifugal impeller with forward-curved blades. This design provides excellent air dynamic characteristics, offering high performance and pressure drop. Motors are available in single-phase (E) or three-phase (D) configurations. They are equipped with ball bearings for extended service life and are dynamically balanced. Overheating protection is integrated via built-in thermal switches with external terminals for connection to protecting controls or overload relays.

Speed Control

Step speed control is available using an external auto transformer, which can be ordered separately.

Mounting

The Box-FI fans are designed for mounting inside rectangular air ducts and can be installed in any orientation. Connection to air ducts is made via the fan flanges using bolts inserted into the flange holes. For mounting to round air ducts, a round pipe reducer is available upon order. If flexible vibration-absorbing connectors are used, their fixation to mounting structures or brackets is recommended. Ensure sufficient space is maintained around the fan for service operations.
