Header Information

State-of-Charge Indicators: Displays the charge level for the remote battery and the trolling motor battery.

• Charging Battery
• Full Battery
• Low Battery

GPS Signal Strength: Indicates the GPS fix status. Flashing means no GPS fix.

Time and Date: Provided by the GPS.

Humminbird Connection: Shows when the i-Pilot controller is communicating with the Humminbird. Arrows turn gray if communication is lost.

Dashboard

Displays key operational data:

• GPS Speed: Current speed as indicated by GPS.
• Motor Speed: Current speed of the trolling motor.
• Cruise Control Target Speed: The set speed for cruise control.

Navigation Mode Icons:

• Navigation Mode: Indicates the current navigation mode.
• Spot-Lock Paused: Indicates if Spot-Lock is paused.
• Legacy AutoPilot: Traditional AutoPilot mode.
• Spot-Lock: Engages Spot-Lock.
• Navigating to Start: Navigating to the starting point of an iTrack.
• Navigating to End: Navigating to the ending point of an iTrack.
• Advanced AutoPilot: Advanced AutoPilot mode.
• Following a Contour: Navigating along a specific contour line.
• Navigating a Route: Following a pre-defined route.
• Navigating to Waypoint: Navigating to a specific waypoint.

iTrack Recording: A red dot indicates that an iTrack is currently being recorded.

Prop Status Icons:

• Prop icon not shown: Prop is disabled.
• Prop icon steady, not rotating: Prop is enabled, speed is zero.
• Prop icon rotating: Prop is enabled, speed is greater than zero.
• Prop icon blinking: Prop is disabled, but the system is in a navigation mode, reminding the user to enable the prop.

Cruise Control: Icon appears when Cruise Control is enabled.

High Speed Bypass:

• Rabbit icon above left softkey: High Speed Bypass is ready.
• Rabbit icon in dashboard and revert icon above left softkey: High Speed Bypass is active.

Keypad and Controls

Menu Control Keys

• Left Softkey & Right Softkey: Function changes based on the displayed screen. Labels at the bottom of the LCD indicate their function.
• Menu Up & Menu Down: Navigate through menus.
• Home: Returns to the Home Screen.
• OK: Accepts menu selections.
• Remote Power: Press and release to turn on; press and hold for 3 seconds to turn off.

Manual Control Keys

• Speed Up: Increases trolling motor speed.
• Speed Down: Decreases trolling motor speed.
• Prop On/Off: Toggles the trolling motor prop on or off.
• Steer Left: Steers the boat to the left.
• Steer Right: Steers the boat to the right.

Navigation Keys

• GOTO: Opens a list of iTracks, Spot-Locks, and Waypoints within range. Also used to switch between Home and Active screens during navigation.
• Spot-Lock: Press to enable Spot-Lock. Press and hold to mark a Waypoint on the Humminbird (Spot-Lock will not engage).
• Auto Pilot: Press to enable AutoPilot or Advanced AutoPilot. The default mode is set in the remote's Controls Menu.
• Cruise Control: Accesses the Cruise Control screen. Target speed is adjusted with +/- keys and confirmed with OK.

Operating Modes

Cruise Control

• Engaging: Press Cruise Control key, adjust target speed with Speed Up/Down, press OK.
• Disengaging: Press Cruise Control key, then press Cancel softkey.

Autopilot

• Engaging (Remote): Press AutoPilot key.
• Engaging (Humminbird): Navigate to AutoPilot via the X-Press Menu.
• Adjusting: Use steering keys (remote) or X-Press Menu (Humminbird).

Waypoints

• Marking (Remote): Press and hold Spot-Lock key.
• Marking (Humminbird): Use MARK key or cursor position via X-Press Menu.
• Navigating (Remote): Press GOTO, select Waypoint, press OK.
• Navigating (Humminbird): Use GOTO from Chart View or select from GOTO list.
• Disengaging Navigation: Switch to GOTO Active Screen and press Cancel, or use steering keys.

Spot-Lock

• Mark/Engage (Remote): Press Spot-Lock key. Can optionally save.
• Mark/Engage (Humminbird): Use X-Press Menu to mark at cursor or vessel position. Can optionally save.
• Navigating to Saved Spot-Lock (Remote): Press GOTO, select Spot-Lock, press OK.
• Navigating to Saved Spot-Lock (Humminbird): Select Spot-Lock icon on chart and press GOTO, or select from GOTO list.
• Disengaging Spot-Lock: Switch to Spot-Lock Active Screen and press Cancel, or press any manual control key.

iTracks

• Start Recording: Use Home Screen controls or Humminbird X-Press Menu.
• Stop Recording: Use StopRec softkey (remote) or X-Press Menu (Humminbird).
• Navigating iTrack (Remote): Press GOTO, select iTrack, press To Start or To End.
• Navigating iTrack (Humminbird): Select iTrack icon on chart and press GOTO, or select from GOTO list.
• BackTrack: Creates and navigates an iTrack using the last 2 miles of the current track.

Routes

• Create Route (Humminbird): Select waypoints/positions on Chart View, press GOTO, repeat for additional points, optionally save.
• Navigate Route (Humminbird): Select Route from Nav tab via X-Press Menu, choose Forward or Reverse.

Follow the Contour

• Engage (Humminbird): Move cursor to contour line, press GOTO, select Contour Offset and navigation direction.
• Set Contour Offset: Use X-Press Menu to adjust offset during navigation.

High Speed Bypass

• Engage: Press High Speed Bypass softkey to set motor to maximum speed.
• Disengage: Press Revert softkey or Speed Down key.
