Minn Kota i-Pilot Link Remote

Compatible with all Bluetooth® enabled i-Pilot® Link™ Systems

Control Buttons

Home: Press to bring up the Home Screen Buttons.
Screen Navigation: Press to navigate the menu without touching the screen. Press and hold to lock and unlock the remote.
Ok: Press to accept menu selections. Press to power remote on. Press and hold for 3 seconds to power remote off.
Speed Up & Speed Down: Press to increase or decrease motor speed.
Steer Left & Steer Right: Press to steer the motor to the left or to the right.
Prop On/Off: Press to turn the Prop on and off.
Spot-Lock: Press to enable and disable Spot-Lock.

Header Information

Motor Battery: Displays motor battery level when prop is disengaged.
Time: Displays the current time (e.g., 12:53 PM).
Remote Battery: Displays the battery level of the remote.
GPS Signal Strength: Displays the level of GPS signal strength. If no bars appear or bars are flashing, the system has not acquired a GPS fix.
Humminbird Connection: Displays white arrows indicating communication with the Humminbird. Grey arrows indicate no communication.
Talon: Displays connection status with one or two Talons and indicates if they are deployed. Icons turn grey if not connected.

i-Pilot Link Dashboard

SOG (Speed Over Ground): Displays the current speed over ground.
High Speed Bypass (HSB): Displays when engaged. Automatically sets Prop speed to 10. Double press to engage, single press to disengage.
Prop On/Off: Displays when the Prop is enabled. Rotates when Prop is on and speed is greater than zero. Blinks when a navigation mode requires the prop to be enabled.
Cruise Control: Displays when engaged, along with the Target Speed.
Prop Speed: Displays the current Prop Speed, adjustable in 1/2 speed increments from 0 to 10.

Info Boxes

Displays information such as Temperature (e.g., TEMP 72°F), Bearing (BRG), Heading (HDG), and Depth (DPTH).

Bearing: Direction from the boat's current location to the target destination.
Heading: Direction the motor is pointing.
Temperature: Current water temperature based on Humminbird communication.
Depth: Current water depth based on Humminbird communication.

i-Pilot Link Home Screen Buttons

Autopilot (Legacy/Advanced): Engages and disengages Autopilot.
Record: Starts and stops recording an iTrack.
High Speed Bypass (HSB): Engages High Speed Bypass.
Lock Keys: Locks buttons and touch screen. Can also be done by pressing and holding the Screen Navigation button.
Cruise Control: Enables or disables Cruise Control. Adjusts Target Speed with Speed Up/Down buttons.
Mark Waypoint: Marks the current location as a Waypoint.
Settings: Opens the Settings menu.
Options: Opens the Options menu.
Go To Spot-Lock: Opens a menu to navigate to a saved Spot-Lock within a quarter-mile range.
Go To iTrack: Opens a menu to navigate to a saved iTrack within a quarter-mile range.
Go To Waypoint: Opens a menu to navigate to a saved Waypoint within a quarter-mile range.
Ulterra: Accesses functions specific to the Ulterra motor (if applicable).

Cruise Control Operations

Engaging Cruise Control

Navigate to the Cruise Control button in the Content Area using the Screen Navigation button or touch.
Select the Cruise Control button.
The Cruise Control target speed appears on the Dashboard and can be adjusted with Speed Up/Down buttons.

Disengaging Cruise Control

Navigate to the Cruise Control button in the Content Area.
Select the Cruise Control button.
The Cruise Control Target Speed disappears from the Dashboard.

Autopilot Operations

Engaging Autopilot

Navigate to the Autopilot button in the Content Area.
Select the Autopilot button.
The Autopilot Active Band appears, engaging either Legacy or Advanced Autopilot based on the selected mode.

Disengaging Autopilot

Navigate to the Autopilot button in the Content Area.
Select the Autopilot button.
The Autopilot Active Band disappears from the Content Area.

Spot-Lock Operations

Engaging Spot-Lock

Press the Spot-Lock button.
The Spot-Lock Active Band appears.
To save the Spot-Lock, select the Spot-Lock Active Band.
Navigate to the Save button on the Spot-Lock Control Screen.
Select the Save button to save the Spot-Lock.

Spot-Lock Jog

(Requires Heading Sensor.) Use Speed Up/Down and Steer Left/Right buttons to jog the Spot-Lock location 5 feet in the selected direction. Alternatively, select the Spot-Lock Active Band to open the control screen and use the Back, Forward, Left, or Right buttons.

Disengaging Spot-Lock

Press the Spot-Lock button on the remote.
The Spot-Lock Active Band disappears.

Go To a Saved Spot-Lock

Navigate to the Go To Spot-Lock button in the Content Area.
Select the Go To Spot-Lock button. A list of nearby Spot-Locks appears.
Scroll to and select the desired Spot-Lock.
The Spot-Lock Active Band appears, showing distance to the selected Spot-Lock.

Waypoint Operations

Mark a Waypoint

Navigate to the Mark Waypoint button in the Content Area.
Select the Mark Waypoint button.

Go To a Saved Waypoint

Navigate to the Go To Waypoint button in the Content Area.
Select the Go To Waypoint button. A list of nearby Waypoints appears.
Scroll to and select the desired Waypoint.
The Waypoint Active Band appears.

Disengage Go To Waypoint

Navigate to the Waypoint Active Band in the Content Area.
Select the Waypoint Active Band.
Select the Cancel button from the Waypoint Control Screen.

iTrack Operations

Recording an iTrack

Navigate to the Record button in the Content Area.
Select the Record button. The iTrack Active Band appears.
Engage the Prop and manually navigate the desired course.
To save, select the iTrack Active Band.
Select the Stop and Save button from the iTrack Control Screen.

Go To a Saved iTrack

Navigate to the Go To iTrack button in the Content Area.
Select the Go To iTrack button. A list of nearby iTracks appears.
Scroll to and select the desired iTrack.
Choose to navigate To Start or To End and select the appropriate button.
The iTrack Active Band appears.

Disengage Go To iTrack

Navigate to the iTrack Active Band in the Content Area.
Select the iTrack Active Band.
Select the Cancel button from the iTrack Control Screen.
