Using the Flash:

1. Power Management:

Use the ON/OFF Power Switch to power the flash unit on or off. The flash unit has a Sleep Function that activates after a period of inactivity.

2. Flash Output:

Flash output can be varied from 1/128th power to 1/1 full power in 1/3 stop increments. Adjust power using the Select Dial. "OF" on the LCD display means flash output and firing are turned off.

3. ZOOM: Setting the Flash Coverage:

Set flash coverage to match lens focal length from 24 mm to 200 mm using the button and Select Dial. Ensure coverage matches to avoid dark peripheries.

4. M Mode: Manual Mode:

Press to enter M mode. Set flash power output before shooting. The flash fires synchronously with the camera shutter. Slave triggering is not available in M mode.

5. Multi Mode: Stroboscopic Flash:

Press to enter Multi mode for stroboscopic flash, allowing rapid series of flashes to capture moving subjects. Set firing frequency, number of flashes, and output. Calculate shutter speed using: Number of flashes / Firing frequency = Shutter speed. Note: Stroboscopic flash is most effective with reflective subjects against dark backgrounds. Use a tripod and remote switch. Flash output of 1/1 or 1/2 cannot be set.

6. S1 Mode: S1 Slave Triggering Mode:

Long press for 2 seconds, then press to choose OS, and use Select Dial to choose OFF/S1/S2. In S1 mode, the flash acts as a slave flash, firing synchronously with a master flash.

7. S2 Mode: S2 Slave Triggering Mode:

Similar to S1 mode, but ignores the master flash's single "preflash" and fires only on the second, actual flash.

8. Hi-Speed Sync Triggering:

Long press for 2 seconds to enter H mode. This allows sync with camera shutter speeds up to 1/8000s, useful for aperture priority fill-flash portraits. Hi-speed sync triggering requires specific Godox triggers like Cells II transceiver or X1C/X1N.

9. Custom Function--Focus Assist Lamp:

Press to turn on the focus assist beam in low-light conditions. The beam auto-shuts off after a set "No-Flash Time" (default 10 seconds). This can be adjusted via Custom Function settings.

10. Buzz Function:

Press for 2 seconds to enter Custom Function, then press to enter "bp" mode. Set to "ON" or "OF" for the buzz function. <♪> is shown when the buzzer is on.

11. Wireless Flash Shooting: Ratio (2.4G) Transmission:

TT600 supports 2.4G ratio transmission (Master/Slave). Set wireless mode by long pressing and using the Select Dial. Set channel by long pressing and using the Select Dial. Select groups by short pressing .

12. Wireless Control Function:

The Wireless Control Port allows wireless adjustment of flash power, focus assist beam, buzzer, and triggering. Use a Godox FT series remote control set.

13. Sync Triggering:

Use the Sync Cord Jack ($3.5mm plug) to connect a trigger and fire the flash synchronously with the camera shutter.

14. Custom Function----Sleep Function:

The flash unit has a Sleep Function to prevent battery drain. Long press to enter the mode and set the "Sleeping Time" (default 10 minutes). The LCD displays a "Zz" icon when in sleep mode. Press any button to wake it up.

Protection Function:

1. Over-Temperature Protection:

To prevent overheating, avoid firing more than 30 continuous flashes at 1/1 full power. After 30 flashes, allow a 10-minute rest. If the over-temperature protection is activated, a icon appears, and recycling time increases. Allow a 10-minute rest for normal operation.

The table shows the number of flashes that activate over-temperature protection at different power output levels, both in normal and high-speed sync modes.

2. Other Protections:

The system provides real-time protection. Prompts on the LCD panel indicate issues:

Advanced Application:

• Bounce Flash:

Point the flash head towards a wall or ceiling to bounce light, softening shadows for a natural look. Adjust the bounce direction by holding the flash head. For best results, use a plain white surface. Avoid distant or non-white surfaces.

• Creating a Catchlight:

Use the catchlight panel to add life to facial expressions by creating a catchlight in the subject's eyes. Point the flash head upward by 90°. Pull out the wide panel, which also brings out the catchlight panel. Push the wide panel back in. For best effect, maintain a distance of 1.5m/4.9ft from the subject.

• Using the Wide Panel:

Pull out the built-in wide panel to enlarge the flash lighting range for softer, more natural lighting. The coverage extends to 14mm. The catchlight panel also comes out and can be pushed back in.
