Quick Guide

Inserting the batteries

1. Pull out the back cover of the remote control.

2. Insert AAA or R03 batteries.

3. Close the cover.

Clock setting

1. Press the CLOCK button and set the time.

• Press and hold the CLOCK button for approximately 5 seconds to show time in 12-hour (am/pm) or 24-hour indication.

2. Confirm by pressing the SET button.

Basic Operation

1. Press the ON/OFF button to start/stop the operation.

• Please note that the OFF indication is on display to start the unit.

2. Press the MODE button to select the desired mode (AUTO, HEAT, FAN, DRY, COOL).

3. Select the desired temperature using the TEMP Up/Down buttons.

• Selection range (Not applicable for FAN mode): 60°F~86°F / 16.0°C~30.0°C.

• Press and hold the TEMP button for approximately 10 seconds to switch the temperature indication in °F or °C.

How to use

To adjust airflow direction

Use the AIR SWING button to adjust the airflow direction. Options include AUTO, and lateral direction.

• Do not adjust the flap by hand.

To adjust FAN SPEED and QUIET condition

Use the FAN SPEED/QUIET button.

FAN SPEED:

• For AUTO, the indoor fan speed is automatically adjusted according to the operation mode.

QUIET:

• This operation reduces airflow noise.

To reach temperature quickly

Press the POWERFUL button. This operation stops automatically after 20 minutes.

To enjoy freshness and cleaner environment

Press the nanoe™™X button. This operation provides clean air, moisturizes your skin and hair, and deodorizes odors in the room.

• This operation can be activated when the unit is turned on or off.

• If nanoe™™X is activated before the unit is turned off, it will resume when the unit is turned on again.

To select Room Freeze Protection

Press the RFP button. When selected, the unit circulates air in High mode for temperature monitoring. If the temperature drops below 46°F / 8°C, the compressor/heat pump operation begins. It stops when the temperature reaches 50°F / 10°C.

Disclaimer: This function may not perform if the unit is not energized or under certain conditions. Consult HVAC installers or professionals for details.

The Room Freeze Protection function (RFP) cannot be used unless the unit is energized and set into RFP mode. In case of power failure, this mode will not function. During RFP mode, POWERFUL OPERATION, QUIET OPERATION, and FAN SPEED selection are disabled.

To set the timer

Two sets of ON and OFF timers are available.

1. Select ON or OFF timer: Press TIMER button repeatedly to select Timer 1 or Timer 2.

2. Set the time: Use the Up/Down buttons to set the desired time.

3. Confirm: Press the SET button.

• To cancel a timer, select the timer and press CANCEL.

• If a timer is cancelled manually or due to power failure, it can be restored by selecting the timer and pressing SET.

• Timer operation is based on the clock set in the remote control and repeats daily.

Note

nanoe™™X and POWERFUL can be selected at the same time and activated in all modes. They can be cancelled by pressing the respective button again.

POWERFUL, QUIET, and FAN SPEED cannot be selected at the same time.

Safety precautions

Indoor unit and outdoor unit

WARNING:

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Please consult an authorized dealer or specialist to clean the internal parts, repair, install, remove, disassemble and reinstall the unit. Improper installation and handling can cause leakage, electric shock, or fire.

• Confirm with an authorized dealer or specialist on the refrigerant type. Using an incorrect type may cause product damage, burst, and injury.

• Do not use means to accelerate defrosting or cleaning other than those recommended by the manufacturer. Using incompatible materials may cause product damage, burst, and serious injury.

• Do not install in a potentially explosive or flammable atmosphere. Failure to do so could result in fire.

• Do not insert fingers or objects into the unit; rotating parts may cause injury.

• Do not touch the outdoor unit during lightning; it may cause electric shock.

• Do not expose yourself directly to cold air for a long period to avoid excess cooling.

• Do not sit or step on the unit, you may fall down accidentally.

Remote control

• Do not allow infants and small children to play with the remote control to prevent them from accidentally swallowing the batteries.

Power supply

• Do not use a modified, joint, extension, or unspecified cord to prevent overheating and fire.

• To prevent overheating, fire, or electric shock:

- Do not share the same power outlet with other equipment.

- Do not operate with wet hands.

- Do not over bend the power supply cord.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent, or similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.

• It is strongly recommended to install this unit using an Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB), Ground Fault Interrupt (GFCI), or Appliance Leakage Current Interrupt (ALCI) to prevent electric shock or fire.

• Stop using the product if any abnormality/failure occurs or turn off the power switch and breaker. (Risk of smoke/fire/electric shock)

• Examples of abnormality/failure include: ELCB/GFCI/ALCI tripping frequently, burning smell, abnormal noise/vibration, water leaks, power cord abnormally hot, fan speed uncontrollable, unit stops running immediately, or fan not stopping when operation is stopped. Contact your local dealer immediately.

• This equipment must be earthed to prevent electrical shock or fire.

• Prevent electric shock by switching off the power supply before cleaning/servicing, during extended non-use, or during strong lightning activity.

Indoor unit and outdoor unit

• Do not wash the indoor unit with water, benzene, thinner, or scouring powder to avoid damage or corrosion.

• Do not use for preservation of precise equipment, food, animals, plants, artwork, or other objects, as this may cause quality deterioration.

• Do not use combustible equipment in front of the airflow outlet to avoid fire propagation.

• Do not expose plants or pets directly to airflow to avoid injury.

• Do not touch the sharp aluminum fin; sharp parts may cause injury.

• Do not switch ON the indoor unit when waxing the floor. Aerate the room properly before operating the unit.

• Do not install in oily and smoky areas to prevent damage.

• Do not dismantle the unit for cleaning to avoid injury.

• Do not step onto an unstable bench when cleaning to avoid injury.

• Do not place a vase or water container on the unit. Water may enter and degrade insulation, causing electric shock.

• Do not leave windows or doors open for long periods during operation, as it may lead to inefficient power usage and uncomfortable temperature changes.

• Prevent water leakage by ensuring the drainage pipe is connected properly, kept clear of gutters/containers, and not immersed in water.

• After long periods of use or use with combustible equipment, aerate the room regularly.

• After long periods of use, ensure the mounting rack is in good condition to prevent the unit from falling.

Remote control

• Do not use rechargeable (Ni-Cd) batteries, as it may damage the remote control.

• To prevent malfunction or damage: Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for a long period. Insert new batteries of the same type, following the polarity.

Cleaning instructions

To ensure optimal performance, clean the unit at regular intervals. A dirty unit may cause malfunction and error code "H 99". Consult an authorized dealer.

• Switch off the power at the circuit breaker before cleaning.

• Do not touch the aluminum fin; sharp parts may cause injury.

• Do not use benzine, thinner, or scouring powder.

• Use only soap (pH 7) or neutral household detergent.

• Do not use water hotter than 104°F / 40°C.

Indoor unit

Wipe the unit gently with a soft, dry cloth. Coils and fans should be cleaned periodically by an authorized dealer.

Outdoor unit

Clear debris around the unit. Clear any blockage from the drain pipe.

Air filters

Clean every 2 weeks:

• Wash/rinse filters gently with water to avoid damage.

• Dry filters thoroughly in the shade, away from fire or direct sunlight.

• Replace any damaged filters.

How to remove front panel

1. Raise the front panel over the horizontal level.

2. Pull upward.

How to fix front panel

1. Hold horizontally.

2. Match and engage the panel.

3. Bend slightly and push to close.

4. Press both ends and the center of the front panel.

How to retrieve error codes

If the unit stops and the TIMER indicator blinks, use the remote control to retrieve the error code.

1. Maintain the TIMER button pressed for 5 seconds.

2. Maintain the ON/OFF button pressed until a beep is heard, then note the error code.

3. Maintain the ON/OFF button pressed for 5 seconds to quit checking.

4. Turn the unit off and reveal the error code to an authorized dealer.

Note: For certain errors, you may restart the unit for limited operation if 4 beeps are emitted during startup.
