Conservation

To maintain food flavour, nourishment, and freshness, store food in the refrigerator compartment as shown in Fig. 4, wrapped appropriately to avoid cross-contamination.

Refrigerator Zone

Diagram Description (Fig. 3): Indicates the coldest zone of the refrigerator, often equipped with a temperature indicator.

Diagram Description (Fig. 4): Shows the 'OK' indicator, which confirms the correct temperature. If 'OK' is not shown, the temperature is too high, requiring adjustment.

Freezer Zone

Use the table below for compartment recommendations and storage times (e.g., 2-3 months, 4-6 months, 6-8 months, 10-12 months). Freezing occurs only in designated compartments.

Diagram Description: Icons representing various food items (fish, meat, ice cream, frozen fruit, etc.) paired with storage duration ranges.

Practical Recommendations

Note: If large quantities of food are added or the door is opened frequently, the 'OK' indicator may not show immediately. Wait at least 10 hours before adjusting the temperature.

Freezing

Note: Temperature adjustment is usually not needed. If excessive cooling occurs in the refrigerator compartment, set warmer levels (1, 2). After freezing, set warmer levels (1, 2).

Diagram Description (Fig. 5): A diagram of the freezer compartment showing shelves and drawers, likely related to the rating plate indicating maximum freezing capacity.

Defrosting

Defrosting the Refrigerator Compartment

The refrigerator compartment defrosts automatically. Water drains through a rear hole and evaporates via compressor heat. Keep the drainage pipe clean.

A small amount of frost or water on the back wall is normal. Ensure the water outlet is clean and food does not touch the back or sides.

Defrosting the Freezer Compartment

Static Products (without NO-FROST): Defrost when frost exceeds 3mm to increase energy efficiency. Steps: Turn off, unplug, remove food, leave door open, collect water, dry, reconnect, set values, reintroduce food.

NO-FROST Products: Defrosting is automatic.

Warning: Avoid open flames or electrical appliances for defrosting. Do not use sharp objects to remove frost.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Lighting

The product uses LED lights, which are long-lasting and environmentally friendly. Contact Technical Assistance for replacement.

Cleaning

Important Cleaning Notes:

Energy Savings

For better energy savings:

Avoiding Noises

Normal operating noises include humming (compressor), rumblings/hissing (refrigerant flow), and ticks/clicks (compressor shutdown). To reduce vibration noises:

Note: Refrigerant gas produces noise even when the compressor is off. Clicking sounds due to material expansion are normal.

Reversibility of the Door

The doors can be reversed to open right or left. This operation must be performed by qualified technical personnel and is not covered by the warranty.

Installation of the Appliance in the Column

Diagram Description: Step-by-step illustrations detailing how to insert the appliance into a built-in cabinet column, including alignment, securing, and sealing.

Coupling of the Panels of the Built-in Column of the Appliance Doors

The appliance uses coupling devices (loader slide) to attach doors to column panels.

Diagram Description: Illustrations showing how to secure the slide mechanism to the column panel and connect the appliance door to the cabinet panel.

Precautions for Correct Operation

Once embedded, place the rear of the column in contact with the wall to prevent compressor access. Ensure adequate air circulation for the condenser. The column needs a rear chimney with an unblocked upper opening and a front slot covered by a ventilation grill.

Diagram Description: Shows required cabinet cut-out dimensions (width, height, depth) for the appliance.

Diagram Description: Indicates the necessary clearance (approx. 50mm) between the unit and the ceiling for ventilation.

Suspending Use of the Appliance

If the appliance is not to be used for a long time:

  1. Turn the appliance OFF.
  2. Extract the plug or remove the safety device.
  3. Clean the appliance.
  4. Leave the doors of the appliance open.

If you are not solved the problem, contact the Service Center, providing the type of fault and information from the appliance's internal plate (model and series number).

Appliance Types

This refrigerating appliance is not suitable for freezing foodstuffs if it lacks a 4-star compartment. It is not intended for use as a built-in appliance if it is free-standing. Wine Coolers are intended exclusively for wine storage.

Food Storage

Position different food in different compartments according to the table below:

Refrigerator compartment Type of food
Door or balconies of fridge compartment Foods with natural preservatives (jams, juices, condiments). Do not store perishable foods.
Crisper drawers (salad drawer) Fruits, herbs and vegetables should be placed separately. Do not store bananas, onions, potatoes, garlic.
Fridge shelf – middle Dairy products, eggs.
Fridge shelf – top Foods that do not need cooking (ready-to-eat foods, deli meats, leftovers).
Freezer drawer(s)/tray Foods for long-term storage. Bottom drawer for raw meat, poultry, fish. Middle drawer for frozen vegetables, chips. Top tray for ice cream, frozen fruit, frozen baked goods.

It is suggested to set the temperature at 4°C in the fridge compartment and -18°C in the freezer compartment. For most food categories, colder temperatures in the fridge compartment ensure longer storage. For frozen food, refer to the storage time on the packaging.

Positioning

Install the appliance where the ambient temperature corresponds to the climate class indicated on the rating plate:
