1. Communication Methods
The EP600 energy storage system connects to the IOT controller. Inverter information is accessible via the mobile APP through Bluetooth or WiFi, allowing for remote control of the inverter's working mode. System working information (power generation, alarms, status) is uploaded to the server via WiFi. Users can utilize the APP to view and control the device, which requires registering an account and binding the device by scanning the EP600's QR code.
The IOT controller supports the following communication methods:
Communication Method | Remark |
---|---|
Wi-Fi | Standard |
Bluetooth | Standard |
2. Overview
Diagram of the IOT Controller. Part 1 is labeled 'User Button'.
LED Indicators:
- WiFi Indicator: Flashes when WiFi is not connected; remains solid when connected.
- Bluetooth Indicator: Flashes when Bluetooth is not connected; remains solid when connected.
Buttons:
- Menu Button: To factory reset the controller, press and hold this button until all LED indicators flash.
- Reset Button: (Function not explicitly detailed in this section, but listed as a button.)
3. Installation
[Danger] Before drilling, ensure you avoid any embedded water pipes or electrical lines within the wall to prevent hazards.
Installation Steps:
- Drill 2 pilot holes in the wall. Refer to figures 6.14.1 (recommended position) and 6.14.2 (drill hole specifications, showing dimensions of 24mm and 2-Ø50.0) for drill position and hole size. The depth of the hole should be 26mm.
- Hammer the expansion anchor into the drilled hole until it is flush with the wall. Figure 6.14.3 visually guides this step.
- Align the IOT controller bracket with the wall holes. Use a Phillips screwdriver to fasten the bracket to the wall with two self-tapping screws into the expansion anchors. Figure 6.14.4 illustrates this attachment.
- Align the controller's buckle over the bracket's U-slot and push the controller downwards until it snaps securely into place. Figures 6.14.5 and 6.14.6 show the controller being mounted onto the bracket.
4. Safety Instructions
- The IOT controller is exclusively for use with BLUETTI products.
- Do not place the device near heat sources or in environments with flammable or explosive gases and smoke.
- Do not attempt to replace any internal components; no user-replaceable parts are included in the packaging.
- [Warning] Do not insert foreign objects into any ports of the device. Use with care and keep children away from the device.
- In case of fire, use a dry powder fire extinguisher.
5. Connection and Operations
Connection Steps:
- Connect the M19 self-locking 9-pin communication cable to the EP600's Link Port 1.
- Turn on the EP600; the IOT controller will power on automatically.
- Open the BLUETTI APP to perform operations.
Download the "BLUETTI" APP from the App Store (for Apple device users) or Google Play (for Android device users). This application allows for remote control of the power system. (Refer to section 8.2 for details on downloading and installing the BLUETTI APP).
The IOT controller can be remotely controlled via Bluetooth or WiFi. To access the device remotely, launch the downloaded "BLUETTI" application, tap the "Login" icon, and proceed to "Register". 6. Firmware Upgrade
6.11.1 Upgrade via USB Drive
The EP600 inverter supports firmware upgrades via a USB drive to maximize its performance and avoid failures caused by firmware errors.
Upgrade Steps:
- Insert the USB drive into a USB port on your computer.
- Download the upgrade file, unzip it, and store it on the USB drive.
- Insert the USB drive into the USB port on the EP600.
- Power on the EP600.
- The firmware upgrade starts automatically once the upgrade files are detected. The controller will indicate it is upgrading DSP and ARM components.
- The buzzer will beep once after the firmware is updated successfully. Please unplug the USB drive promptly; otherwise, the EP600 may report a USB Format Error.
- Pair the EP600 with the BLUETTI app to check the firmware version on your phone.
If any of the following occurs, please try the solutions provided. If the symptom persists (for 5 times), contact the BLUETTI support team; they will respond within 48 business hours.
