How to Use

1. Power On

Plug in and you will hear a beep sound and see all the lights come on. After one second, it goes to standby status and all lights go off.

2. Preset/Temperature/Time Selection

When at standby status, press +/- buttons to adjust cooking temperature and time. Note that the default cooking temperature and time is 180°C and 15 minutes respectively.

You can also press any preset icon to cook different food. Once the icon is pressed, it starts to flash, then press ▶️ II to start to cook. Each preset has been programmed with its default cooking temperature and time as shown in the table below. Press the Temperature Increase/Decrease Button and Time Increase/Decrease Button to adjust the cooking temperature and time.

3. START/PAUSE, ON/OFF

After preset selection, set the cooking temperature and time, press ▶️ II and it starts to flash, after a beep sound, it starts to cook. During working, press ▶️ II and it stops working after a beep sound and ▶️ II stops flashing. During working, press and it stops working after a beep sound and then it goes back to standby status.

Note (1): Take out the frying pot during cooking to stop working and check the result or add more food. Put the frying pot back into the appliance to resume working on the previous programme.

(2) Cut off the power or unplug the appliance to stop working with all indicator lights off, re-connect or plug in to resume working on the previous programme.

4. End of Programme

The heating element stops working once the cooking time is completed, reading 00 min on the display screen with a beep sound. The motor continues working for one more minute to cool down the appliance and goes back to standby status.

Note: Do not touch the frying pot during cooking and 30 minutes after cooking as it may get very hot. Only hold by its handle.

Operation Instructions

  1. Plug into a wall socket.
  2. Put the ingredients into the frying basket and place it properly into the frying pot.
  3. Place the frying pot into its position properly. Select the desired preset and press the START/PAUSE button to start cooking.
  4. Display Screen: It reads the cooking temperature and time value. Once the preset is selected, it will flash during cooking. The preset icon will read the corresponding cooking temperature and time and the preset icon will flash during cooking.

Settings & Techniques

In addition to the preset function, you can cook food by adjusting the cooking temperature and time duration by yourself. The table below might help you with the basic settings for the ingredients you are going to cook.

Note: All settings are for reference only. We can not assure you those certainly are the best settings for your ingredients as it may vary if the origin, size, shape or brand of food changes.

Thanks to its rapid-heating air circulation technology, it is allowed to take out the frying basket shortly from the appliance during cooking and the cooking result will hardly be affected.

How to Cook Homemade Strips

For a better result, frozen French fries are recommended. If you want to cook homemade strips, do as follows:

  1. Peel potatoes and cut them into strips.
  2. Soak potato strips into water for at least 30 minutes, then dry them with kitchen paper.
  3. Add 1/2 tbsp of olive oil in a bowl, put potato strips in and stir till they are coated with oil.
  4. Take potato strips out from the bowl but not the excessive oil, and put strips into the frying basket. Note: Do not put all potato strips into the frying basket at one time to avoid too much oil collecting on the bottom.
  5. Air fry the potato strips by referring to the chart above.

Troubleshooting

The grease or oil from last cooking remains in the frying pot.Make sure that the frying pot and the frying basket are cleaned properly after each use.
Food is still not ready.Too many ingredients in the frying basket.Put ingredients at an appropriate quantity into the frying basket for more even frying.
Low temperature setting.Press Temperature Increase Button to set an appropriate cooking temperature. (refer to Settings)
Short cooking time duration.Press Time Increase Button to set an appropriate cooking time. (refer to Settings)
Food is not evenly fried.Certain ingredients need to be shaken or flipped while cooking.Ingredients that pile up or stack on each other (e.g. fries) need to be shaken or flipped during cooking. (refer to Settings)
Too many ingredients in the frying basket.Do not overload or exceed the maximum line.
Food is not crispy.You used a type of snack meant to be cooked in a traditional deep fryer.Use the ingredients that is suitable to be cooked in the air fryer or apply some oil on the ingredients for a crispier result.
Failed to slide the frying pot into the appliance.The frying basket is not placed into the frying pot correctly.Push the frying basket downwards into the frying pot until you hear a click.
White smoke comes out of the appliance.Frying oily food.When frying high fat food, the grease drips into the hot frying pot when being heated and it emits white smoke. It's normal and won't affect its performance or the cooking result.
The grease or oil from last cooking remains in the frying pot.Make sure that the frying pot and the frying basket are cleaned properly after each use.
Fresh fries are fried unevenly.The potato strips haven't been rinsed properly before cooking.Rinse the potato strips properly to remove starch on the outside of the strips.
Fresh fries are not crispy after being cooked.The crispiness of the fries depends on the amount of oil and water content in the strips.Make sure to dry the potato strips properly before adding oil. Cut the potato strips smaller for a crispier result. Add a bit more oil for a crispier result.
