Starkey Wi Series Hearing Aids
Models: i110, i90, i70 (ITE, HS, ITC, CIC)
Features
- Sound Imaging:
- Wi Series i110: Optimal high-resolution sound imaging with frequency shaping in all 16 channels and 16 bands.
- Wi Series i90: High-resolution sound imaging with frequency shaping in 12 channels and 12 bands.
- Wi Series i70: Frequency shaping in 8 channels and 8 bands. - Binaural Spatial Mapping: Available in Wi Series i110 and i90. This protocol maps the acoustic space surrounding the patient, applying appropriate signal processing for directionality and noise management.
- Voice iQ²: Nearly doubles noise reduction capability while maintaining speech. It applies variable noise adaptation in all channels between pauses and is proven to reduce listening effort. Provides up to 20dB of noise reduction.
- Spectral iQ: Enhances audibility for patients with steeply sloping, high-frequency hearing loss by identifying high-frequency speech cues and replicating them in lower frequencies.
- Sound Enhancements: Updated signal processing architecture for enhanced sound quality and efficiency, including new vent modeling, automatic vent detection, improved compression, and updated eSTAT targets.
- iQ Boost: Activated via SurfLink™ Remote, this feature allows patients to enable aggressive noise reduction while optimizing sound quality in noisy situations.
- Self Learning: Gradually learns patient volume control preferences in each active memory, reducing the need for manual adjustments.
- PureWave Feedback Eliminator: Ensures wide fitting ranges and a fast response to feedback.
- HydraShield²: Proprietary moisture protection system with oleophobic nano-coating to protect hearing aids from earwax and oily substances, enhancing reliability and durability.
- T2 Remote: Allows patients to control hearing aid memory or volume adjustments using any cell or touch-tone phone.
- Swap Fit: Enables transfer of patient settings from a current Starkey product to a new one, saving time for fine-tuning.
- Synchronized User Adjustments: Allows patients to adjust volume or memory for the pair using a single hearing instrument.
- Binaural Telephone Mode: Places the phone-side hearing aid in Automatic Telephone Response or Telecoil mode while attenuating the off-side hearing aid.
- Live Real Ear Measurement: Combined with Inspire® fitting software, allows visualization of hearing aid output in the patient's ear in real-ear SPL.
- Live Speech Mapping: Verifies hearing aid processing of speech or live acoustic input in real time through a 3D display.
- Voice Indicators: Alerts patients to hearing aid status (low battery, memory, telephone modes) using voice prompts in various languages.
- Automatic Telephone Solutions (ATS): Automatically detects telephone use and adjusts to the optimal acoustic frequency response for telephone listening.
- Leisure Listening Memories: Includes TV memory programs and multiple music genre settings for optimal listening enjoyment.
- Telehealth Benefits: Offers options like T2 On Demand and Audiology On Demand™ for remote patient interaction and care delivery, compatible with iPad®, iPhone®, and iPod® Touch.
- SurfLink Accessories:
- SurfLink Programmer: Wireless programming.
- SurfLink Media: Wireless connection to media devices without pairing.
- SurfLink Remote: Discreet and easy adjustment of hearing instruments. - Auto Path: Features automatic fitting routine for accurate and efficient first fit.
- Verify Comfort: In-Situ Audiometry and Data Logging features.
Programming Information
- Preferred Method: Wireless programming using SurfLink Programmer.
- Alternative Method: Purple programming cable + orange flex strip (battery in or out).

Measurement Conditions and Recommendations: The data for Wi Series are obtained and performance is expressed according to ANSI S3.22 (2003), ANSI S3.7 (1995), ANSI C63.19 (2007), IEC 60118-7 (2005), IEC 60711 (1981), DIN 45605 (1989) and IEC 60118-0 (1983) with Amendment 1 (1994-01). The Starkey proprietary Real Time Analyzer and the Starkey Automated Design Verification Test System (SADVTS) comprise the basic test equipment. Data may be subject to change with product refinement.
Because of the adaptive signal processing capabilities of Wi Series hearing instruments, the hearing instrument must be set to test mode to compare the actual performance of the hearing instrument with these specifications. Wi Series hearing instruments may be set to test mode with Inspire® by reading the hearing aid and selecting the "Hearing Aid Test" screen from the menu on the left side of the Inspire window, then selecting the "Full on Gain" button.
