Important Safety Instructions

  • To reduce the risk of injury, always wear eye protection [?]. This tool is not insulated. Do not pry or chisel; the tool may shatter or break.
  • Over-torquing can cause damage. Do not exceed rated torque. Do not flex the head of the tool for leverage. Do not use a cheater extension on the handle to apply torque. Excessive force on the tool in any way will cause permanent damage.
  • Do not overload the tool. This will result in the tool being un-calibrated and will need to be serviced at a service center.
  • Do not use the tool to break fasteners loose.
  • Use only sockets and other accessories specifically designed for use on wrenches. Other sockets and accessories might shatter or break, causing injury.
  • Apply torque slowly using the handle. The tool is not calibrated for applying pressure anywhere but the handle.
  • Always ensure the ratchet On/Off toggle is fully engaged. Misuse of this function will cause damage to the tool.
  • Always verify the calibration of the tool if its capacity has been overloaded or the tool has been dropped. Refer to the calibration section for more information.
  • Do not use this tool as a hammer. Impacts could damage the tool and make it inoperable.
  • Check that the tool capacity matches or exceeds the use of the application before proceeding. Failure to do so may result in damage to the tool.

Functional Description

The torque wrench has the following components:

  1. On/Off toggle
  2. Torque tree (handle)
  3. Locking collar
  4. Major graduations
  5. Minor graduations

Operation

Setting the Direction

  • For clockwise rotation, move the toggle to the ON position. Check the direction of rotation before use.
  • For counterclockwise rotation, move the toggle to the OFF position. Check the direction of rotation before use.

Adjusting Torque Settings

  1. Unlock the wrench handle by sliding and holding down the locking collar.
  2. Turn the wrench handle clockwise (to increase torque) or counterclockwise (to decrease torque) along the graduation markings as desired.
  3. When finished, release the locking collar.

Maintenance

Accuracy Certification

This tool requires certification annually, after 5,000 cycles, or if the tool has been overloaded or dropped. The tool's certification expires 14 days after 5,000 cycles. Contact your local Milwaukee Tool service center if the tool is overloaded. Refer to the troubleshooting section for more information.

Calibration

This tool was calibrated at the factory with torque measurement instruments. Torque parameters comply with ISO 6789-2017. Contact a MILWAUKEE service facility for calibration.

Limited Warranty (USA & Canada)

This MILWAUKEE precision torque tool is warranted to the original purchaser from an authorized MILWAUKEE distributor to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years after the date of purchase, subject to exceptions. Milwaukee will repair or replace any defective part. Return the tool to a MILWAUKEE factory Service Center or Authorized Service Station, freight prepaid and insured, with proof of purchase and the most recent calibration certificate. This warranty does not cover damage from unauthorized repairs, misuse, alterations, abuse, normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance, or accidents. Calibration is considered routine maintenance and is not covered by this warranty. Warranty registration is not necessary; the manufacturing date will determine the warranty period if proof of purchase is not provided. Acceptance of these remedies is a condition of the purchase contract. Milwaukee is not liable for incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. This warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied.

This warranty applies to products sold in the U.S.A. and Canada only.
