General Warnings and Suitability

This lamp is not suitable for use in emergency luminaires designed for double-capped fluorescent lamps.

This lamp may not be suitable for all applications where traditional fluorescent lamps were used. Its temperature range is more restricted. Consult the manufacturer if unsure about application suitability.

This lamp is designed for general lighting service and is not intended for environments with explosive atmospheres.

The Philips LEDtube is not dimmable.

It is developed for G5 sockets, complying with IEC Standard.

The LEDtube is not suitable for direct current (DC) operation.

It is suitable for operation on mains voltage without a ballast, provided the luminaire is specifically designed for LED tubes on mains voltage. No modification to such luminaires is necessary.

If replacing a traditional fluorescent lamp, verify that the required illuminance levels according to regulations are met.

LEDtubes are intended for general lighting applications only.

The lamp must only be used in dry environments and with a luminaire approved for the specific application area.

Please adhere strictly to these installation instructions.

For any questions, refer to the product data sheets or contact the manufacturer directly.

Always switch off the power supply before commencing work! ⚠️

Wiring Diagrams Explained

Double-sided wiring diagram

This diagram illustrates the connection of a Philips LEDtube to a luminaire requiring a double-sided connection. It shows the process of bypassing the traditional starter and ballast, and connecting the LEDtube directly to the mains voltage via a High-Frequency (HF) ballast. The steps involve powering off, removing the old tube, disconnecting the ballast, connecting the LEDtube, ensuring correct seating, and powering on.

Single-sided wiring diagram

This diagram details the installation of a Philips LEDtube in a luminaire where only one side of the tube is connected to the mains voltage. This typically involves bypassing or removing the existing ballast and starter, and connecting the LEDtube directly to the power supply on one end. The steps are similar to the double-sided diagram: power off, remove old tube, disconnect ballast, connect LEDtube, ensure seating, and power on.

Professional Installation Recommended

Philips LED tubes should be installed by qualified professionals in accordance with relevant codes and regulations.

Waste Disposal and Environmental Responsibility

Please familiarize yourself with local regulations for the disposal, separation, and collection of electrical and electronic products and packaging. Do not dispose of old products with regular household waste.

Proper disposal of packaging, products, and batteries helps prevent negative environmental and health impacts. Batteries must be disposed of separately through designated collection facilities.

Products with non-user replaceable batteries require professional removal of these batteries during disposal.
