Battery Notice & Disposal
Batteries and accumulators are not toys and must be kept out of reach of children. Battery replacement must be performed by an adult.
- Never mix rechargeable batteries with non-rechargeable batteries.
- Never mix fully charged batteries with almost empty batteries.
- Never mix batteries of different capacities.
- Never attempt to charge dry batteries.
- Ensure correct polarity.
- Defective batteries must be disposed of as special waste.
- Never leave a charging battery unattended.
Read the safety instructions and warnings before using or charging the Li-Ion battery. Stop using or charging immediately if the battery leaks, exceeds 70°C, or shows any other unusual behavior.
Use only a qualified and specific Li-Po/Li-Ion charger. Never charge the battery unattended. Do not charge if the voltage exceeds 4.2V per cell or if the charging current exceeds 2C. An unqualified charger may cause a fire.
Do not discharge the battery with a current exceeding its maximum discharge current, as this can cause overheating, bursting, fire, or explosion.
Never disassemble, puncture, strike, drop, short-circuit, or throw the battery into a fire. Improper use can lead to explosions or fires.

Batteries/accumulators containing hazardous substances are marked with symbols indicating the prohibition of disposal in household waste. Additional notations for critical heavy metals are Cd=Cadmium, Hg=Quicksilver, Pb=Lead (labels are found on batteries/accumulators, e.g., below the trash bin symbol).
RoHS labelling confirms that the manufacturer has adhered to all limit values during manufacturing.
Batteries marked with the recycling symbol can be disposed of in any used battery collection container (available at most supermarkets at the checkout). They must not be put into residual or household waste.
AMEWI Trade GmbH participates in the dual system for sales packaging via Landbell AG. Assembly Instructions
Preparation of Main Wing Panel
Apply glue to the recess for the servos and insert the servo into the hole. Mount the rudder horns with the screws. [Image: Servo being inserted into wing recess; Rudder horns being screwed onto wing]
Installation of Main Wing Panel
Adjusting the clevis: Turn the clevis (A) clockwise or anticlockwise on the linkage. Carefully spread the clevis and insert the clevis pin (B) into a selected hole in the control horn (C). Connect the push rod to the servo arm and the control horns. Glue the servo cover over the push rod. [Image: Clevis adjustment on linkage; Clevis pin insertion into control horn; Pushrod connection; Servo cover glued]
Installation of Tail Unit
Apply glue to the tailplane and rudder and glue them to the fuselage. Screw the control horns to the tailplane. Connect the pushrod to the servo arm and the control horns. After gluing the main wing and the tailplane, ensure they are aligned. [Image: Tailplane and rudder glued to fuselage; Control horns screwed to tailplane; Main wing and tailplane aligned]
Assembly of the Fuselage
Apply glue to the position of the elevator servo and glue it in place. Connect the adapter to the servo arm and screw it to the servo. Connect the ESC and the motor, ensure the motor works properly, then glue the ESC in place. Route the ESC cable in the canopy. Assembly of the Receiver
Connect the receiver to the ESC, elevator servo, and Y-cable as indicated. [Diagram: Receiver connections showing CH1 (ESC), CH2 (Elevator Servo), CH3 (Y-Line), CH4, CH5, CH6]
Center of Gravity (CG)
The recommended Center of Gravity is 175-185mm from the leading edge of the wing. [Diagram: MIG-17 showing CG measurement point]
First Flight
For the first flight, wait for a calm day with only a light breeze. Choose a large, open field away from trees, fences, power lines, and other potential hazards.
Perform a full check of all systems:
- Ensure all control surfaces respond correctly.
- Verify appropriate throttle response and battery voltage.
- Perform a range test if not already done.
It is recommended to have an experienced modeller assist with the hand launch. Launch the aircraft into the wind with the fuselage and wings.
Initially, let the MIG-17 fly straight and level. Do not attempt to turn it when it is close to the ground.
Adjust the trims as necessary to achieve a steady climb. Check the model's response to the transmitter's control commands. You may need to adjust control surface travel when the model is back on the ground.
Bring the aircraft to a safe altitude and check the stall speed. Maintain higher speed on the approach to avoid a stall.
If flight trims were adjusted, correct the mechanical linkages before the next flight to re-center trims and ensure full trim travel is available.
