Quick Start Guide
This guide provides essential information for setting up and using your FIIO FX17 earphones.
Wearing Guide
Identifying Left and Right: The 'L' marking indicates the left side, and 'R' indicates the right side for both the earphones and the cable. If no characters are present, a blue marking signifies the left side, and a red marking signifies the right side.
Cable Replacement: When replacing the audio cable, ensure you use a cable with the same wiring definition as the original to maintain sound quality and user experience.
Connector Types: This product utilizes MMCX connectors and 0.78mm dual-pin connectors. Diagrams illustrate the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals for each connector type.
Wearing Method: The FX17 is designed for an over-ear wearing style. When connecting the earphone cable, form an over-ear shape with the cable, guiding it behind your ear. Gently rotate and press the earphone into place, then adjust the ear hook for maximum comfort.
Correct vs. Incorrect Wearing: Diagrams show the correct method of wearing the earphones over the ear, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit, versus an incorrect method.
Cable Detachment Instructions
General Cable Removal: Avoid pulling the cable directly or at an angle to prevent damage. Ensure the earphone and cable connector are aligned in a straight line before pulling them apart.
MMCX Quick-Release Assistant Tool: If the MMCX cable is difficult to detach, use the provided quick-release assistant tool. Align the tool's notch with the connector seam, insert it parallel until seated, and then gently press down using leverage to separate the earphone and MMCX connector. Do not rotate for 0.78mm dual-pin connectors.
Important Notes:
- Do not force the cable removal. Contact FIIO after-sales service if you encounter difficulties.
- Diagrams are for illustrative purposes; actual product design may vary.
- The MMCX assistant tool is for FIIO products only. Use with caution as it is made of metal and may cause minor scratches.
Replaceable Plug Instructions
The FX17 features interchangeable audio plugs. To change the plug:
- Clockwise: Loosen the locking ring and pull the plug out parallel to the connector.
- Counter-clockwise: Align the plug's arrow indicator with the connector's internal groove and insert parallel. Tighten the locking ring by turning counter-clockwise.
Precautions:
- Avoid using earphones in dangerous environments.
- Adjust volume to a safe level to protect your hearing.
- Do not expose earphones to humid conditions or strong magnetic fields for extended periods.
- Unplug earphones from your audio device when not in use for a long time.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the earphones yourself.
