In such cases, the sensor range may need to be adjusted, or the parking assist system deactivated. For tow bars with removable or pivoting balls, malfunctions are less likely when the ball is not in the operating position.

Technical Clearance Requirements
Compliance with European Directive 94/20/EC is required, ensuring specific clearance zones around the tow ball. Key clearance dimensions include:
