Notes on Using the Device
- Do not expose the lens or viewfinder to strong light sources, such as direct sunlight. Doing so may cause smoke, fire, or malfunction within the camera body or lens due to the lens's light-concentrating properties. Always attach the lens cap to the lens when exposing the camera to light sources like sunlight. If sunlight or other strong light enters the camera through the lens, it can focus and cause smoke or fire inside the camera. Always attach the lens cap when the camera is not in use. When shooting backlit subjects, be careful to keep the sun well outside the angle of view. It may still cause smoke or fire even if it is slightly outside the angle of view.
- The camera (including its accessories) contains magnets that may interfere with the operation of pacemakers, programmable hydrocephalus shunts, and other medical devices. Do not place the camera near persons using such medical devices. If you use such medical devices, consult your doctor before using the camera.
- Increase the volume gradually. Sudden loud noises can cause hearing damage.
- Do not leave this unit, the supplied accessories, or memory cards within reach of infants. They may swallow them accidentally. If this happens, consult a doctor immediately.
- When shooting with the viewfinder, you may experience eye strain, fatigue, nausea, or dizziness. It is recommended to take regular breaks when shooting with the viewfinder.
- If the electronic viewfinder screen is damaged, stop using the camera immediately. Damaged parts may injure your hands, face, etc.
- During continuous still shooting, the shooting screen and a black screen may alternate rapidly on the screen or in the viewfinder. If you look at the screen for a long time in such a case, you may experience uncomfortable symptoms such as feeling unwell. If you experience uncomfortable symptoms, discontinue use of the camera and consult a doctor if necessary.
- When recording for extended periods or shooting 4K movies, if a specific area of your skin remains in prolonged contact with the camera, you may experience symptoms of low-temperature burns, such as redness or blistering, even if the camera does not feel hot. Take special care under the following circumstances and use a tripod, etc.:
- When using the camera in a high-temperature environment.
- When the camera is used by a person with poor circulation or reduced skin sensation.
- When the camera's [Auto Power Off Temp.] setting is set to [High].
