Notes on Operating This Product
- Do not expose the lens or viewfinder to strong light sources, such as sunlight. Because the lens concentrates light, exposure to strong light sources may cause smoke, fire, or malfunction inside the camera body or lens. If the camera must be exposed to light (such as sunlight), cover the lens with the lens cap.
- If sunlight or other strong light enters the camera through the lens, it may focus inside the camera and cause smoke or fire. Store the camera with the lens cap attached. When shooting against the light, keep the sun sufficiently away from the angle of view. Even if slightly away from the angle of view, smoke or fire may occur.
- This camera (including accessories) has magnets, which may interfere with pacemakers, adjustable cerebrospinal fluid shunts, or other medical devices. Do not place this camera near users of such medical devices. If you use any such medical device, consult your doctor before using this camera.
- Gradually increase the volume. Sudden loud noises can damage your ears.
- Do not place this product, the supplied accessories, or memory cards where infants can reach them. They may be accidentally swallowed. In the unfortunate event this happens, consult a doctor immediately.
- When shooting with the viewfinder, symptoms such as eye strain, fatigue, motion sickness, or nausea may occur. We recommend taking regular breaks when shooting with the viewfinder.
- If the screen or electronic viewfinder is damaged, stop using the camera immediately. Damaged parts may injure your hands, face, etc.
- During continuous still image shooting, the screen or viewfinder may flicker between the shooting screen and a black screen. In such cases, if you continue to watch the screen, uncomfortable symptoms such as a feeling of discomfort may occur. If you feel uncomfortable, stop using the camera and consult your doctor if necessary.
- When recording for extended periods or recording 4K movies, if a part of your skin comes into contact with the camera for a long time while using it, you may experience symptoms of low-temperature burns, such as redness or blisters, even if you do not feel the camera is hot. Be especially careful in the following situations and always use a tripod, etc.:
- When using the camera in a high-temperature environment.
- When the camera is used by persons with poor blood circulation or impaired skin sensation.
- When the camera is used with the [Auto Power Off Temp.] setting set to [High].
