Thank you for purchasing the CAT bulldozer battery-powered ride-on. Features include Power Trax™ rubber traction strips, a 12-volt Kid Trax battery, Direct Connect™ one-step charging system, push-button sound effects, a working front blade, and turn-in-place twin motor controls. The toy also includes plastic boulders and a toy hard hat for extra play.

User Requirements and Warnings

Age Range: 3-5 years (maximum)

Weight Range: No more than 55 lbs (25 Kgs)

Before using the vehicle, the child should understand the vehicle controls and safety issues. They must also demonstrate the capability to handle the vehicle and operate its controls. It is the responsibility of the adult to educate the child and supervise the vehicle's use. Read the following safety warnings to any child using the vehicle before riding.

Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble the CAT Bulldozer Ride-On:

  1. Attach Blade Arms: Connect the blade arms to the main body of the bulldozer. Secure them using the provided steering nut and screw, blade screws, blade arm washers, and blade arm nuts as shown in the diagrams.
  2. Install Front Blade: Attach the front blade assembly to the front of the bulldozer. Use the four blade screws and four blade nuts provided.
  3. Install Steering Column: Insert the steering column into the designated slot on the main body.
  4. Install Seat: Place the seat onto the main body and secure it with the seat screw. Ensure the wiring harness is connected correctly.
  5. Install Battery/Electronics: Connect the battery and associated wiring harnesses. The diagrams show how to connect the main battery, the control module, and the power switch. Ensure all connections are secure. (Refer to diagrams in the original manual for detailed wiring).
  6. Attach Top Structure: If applicable, attach any overhead structures or roll bars to the main body.

Note: Refer to the diagrams in the original manual for precise placement and hardware usage for each step.

Operating the Bulldozer

To operate the vehicle:

Charging the Battery

First Charge: Allow approximately 24 hours for the first charge.

Normal Charge: Allow approximately 12-18 hours for subsequent charges. Do not charge for more than 24 hours.

Connect the charger to the battery and plug it into a working wall outlet. Ensure the battery is charged in a well-ventilated area.

Battery Replacement

To replace the battery, first ensure the vehicle is turned off. Access the battery compartment, typically located under the seat. Disconnect the old battery, remove it, and install the new Kid Trax Toys 12V rechargeable battery, ensuring correct connection of terminals and wiring.

Battery Disposal

Dispose of the used battery responsibly. Place the battery in a plastic bag and take it to a recycling center or hazardous waste disposal facility. Do not dispose of batteries in household trash.

Maintenance

The vehicle should be checked for damage, missing, or badly worn parts before each use.

Troubleshooting Guide

Problem Possible Cause Remedy
Vehicle does not run Battery low on power Recharge battery (see Battery: Recharge Interval and Time).
Thermal fuse has tripped Let the vehicle rest for 5 to 10 minutes before continuing normal operation (see Maintenance).
Battery connector or wires are loose Check that the battery connectors are firmly plugged into each other. If wires are loose around the motor, call Consumer Relations at 877-741-6154 for an authorized service center.
Vehicle does not run very long Battery is dead Replace battery (see Battery: Replacement and Disposal).
Vehicle does not run very long Electrical system is damaged Call Consumer Relations at 877-741-6154 for an authorized service center.
Vehicle runs sluggishly or beeping occurs Motor is damaged Call Consumer Relations at 877-741-6154 for an authorized service center.
Battery is under charged Check that the battery connectors are firmly plugged into each other when recharging (see Battery: Recharge Interval and Time).
Battery is old Replace battery (see Battery: Replacement and Disposal).
Vehicle needs a push to go forward Battery low on power Recharge battery (see Battery: Recharge Interval and Time).
Battery is old Replace battery (see Battery: Replacement and Disposal).
Vehicle is overloaded Reduce weight on vehicle (see User Requirements and Safety Warnings).
Vehicle is being used in harsh conditions Operate the vehicle on level ground and firm surfaces (see User Requirements and Safety Warnings).
Poor contact of wires or connectors Check that battery connectors are firmly plugged into each other. If wires are loose around the motor, call Consumer Relations at 877-741-6154.
Loud grinding or clicking noises coming from motor or gear box "Dead Spot" on motor A dead spot means the electric power is not being delivered to the terminal connection and the vehicle needs repair. Call Consumer Relations at 877-741-6154.
Motor or gears are damaged Call Consumer Relations at 877-741-6154.
12V Battery will not recharge Battery connector or adapter connector is loose Check that battery connectors are firmly plugged into each other.
Charger is not working (lights not glowing) Check that battery charger is plugged into a working wall outlet.
Charger is not working (lights not glowing) Call Consumer Relations at 877-741-6154.
Battery bubbles or gurgles when charging This is normal and not a cause for concern.
Charger feels warm when recharging This is normal and not a cause for concern.

Warranty

One-Year Limited Warranty: The vehicle (except for the battery) is warranted against defective materials or workmanship for one year from the date of original purchase.

Six-Month Limited Warranty on Battery: The 6-volt battery is warranted against defective materials or workmanship for six months from the date of original purchase.

An original receipt is required to validate your warranty. Pacific Cycle, Inc. (PC) will, at its option, provide replacement parts or replace the product. PC reserves the right to substitute if the part or model has been discontinued.

Warranty Limitations: This warranty does not cover damages arising from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, unauthorized service, commercial use, or damages from shipping/transportation. The original owner pays for labor charges.

Limitation of Damages: PC or the dealer will not be liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states may not allow these limitations.

Limitation of Warranties and Warranty Terms: Implied warranties are limited to the duration of the express written warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, which may vary by state.
