Before Using Your Kettle
If using the kettle for the first time, clean it by boiling a full kettle of water twice and discarding the water.
Use Indication
- Filling Water: Remove the kettle from the base, open the lid, and fill with the desired amount of water between the minimum (0.5L) and maximum (1.5L) marks. Filling with too little water may cause the kettle to switch off before boiling. Do not fill over the maximum level to prevent spillage when boiling. Ensure the lid is firmly closed before connecting to power.
- Close the lid and place the kettle securely on the power base.
- Connect the plug to a power outlet. Press the switch to the "I" position; the indicator light will illuminate. The kettle will automatically switch off when boiling, and the light will extinguish. You can manually switch off the power at any time. Ensure the switch is unobstructed and the lid is firmly closed.
- Lift the kettle from the base and pour the water. Pour carefully to avoid scalding. Do not open the lid while the water is hot.
- The kettle will not re-boil until the switch is lifted. Allow it to cool for 15-20 seconds before boiling again. The kettle can be stored on the power base when not in use. Ensure the power supply is turned off when not in use.
Boil-Dry Protection
If the kettle operates without water, the boil-dry protection will automatically switch it off. Allow the kettle to cool before refilling with cold water and re-boiling.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and let it cool before cleaning.
- Do not immerse the kettle, power cord, or base in water, or expose them to moisture.
- Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth or cleaner. Do not use harsh cleaners.
- Clean the filter periodically. Detach the filter for easier cleaning and reattach it afterward. Avoid using chemical, steel, wooden, or abrasive cleaners on the exterior to prevent loss of gloss.
- When not in use or for storage, the power cord can be wound under the base.
Removal of Mineral Deposits
Periodically descale the kettle to maintain efficiency. Mineral deposits from tap water can form scale on the bottom.
You can use a commercial descaler following its instructions, or use white vinegar as follows:
- Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar and add enough water to cover the bottom completely. Leave overnight.
- Discard the vinegar solution. Fill the kettle with clean water, boil, and discard the water. Repeat until the vinegar odor is gone. Stubborn stains inside the spout can be removed by rubbing with a damp cloth.
