This manual provides instructions for using the MOVESPEED GD10 Portable Solid State Drive with the Apple Find My network.
Getting Started with Apple Find My
To use the Apple Find My app or Find Items app to locate this item, the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, or macOS is recommended.
The MOVESPEED GD10 Portable Solid State Drive is powered by a button cell battery, with an expected battery life of approximately 1 year. The battery can be replaced by removing the battery compartment cover.
Product Button Functions
The product function button is located inside a small pinhole on the back. A SIM card ejector tool or a paperclip can be used to insert it all the way in to press the button.

Power on, Pairing Mode | Long press the button until you hear 1 beep, then release to power on and initiate pairing mode. |
View Serial Number (Identified as Unknown Item in Find My app) | Long press the button until you hear 2 consecutive beeps, then release to view the serial number in Find My. |
Power off, Disable Mode | Long press the button until you hear 3 consecutive beeps, then release to power off. The product will not be locatable at this time. |
Restore Factory Settings | Long press the button until you hear a long beep, then release to restore factory settings. You can then pair it with an Apple device again. |
Adding GD10 to Find My
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions to make the item discoverable.
- In the Find My app, tap '+' (plus icon), then choose 'Add Other Item'.
- Tap 'Connect', type a name, and select an emoji. Then tap 'Continue'.
- Tap 'Agree' to register the item to your Apple ID, then tap 'Finish'.
Locating Your GD10
1. Tap 'Items' at the bottom of the screen, then tap the item you want to locate.
- If the item can be located: It appears on the map with its location and timestamp. The item's location is updated when it connects to the Find My network.
- If the item can't be located: You see where and when it was last located. Under 'Notifications', turn on 'Notify When Found' to receive an alert when it's located again.
2. Tap the item you want to get directions to.
3. Tap 'Directions' to open the Maps app.
4. If the GD10 is near you, return to the Find My app, tap 'Find', and follow the on-screen instructions (e.g., move towards the item indicated by an arrow).
5. Tap the 'Play Sound' button to play a sound on your GD10. Tap 'Close' when you locate it.
Setting Separation Alerts
- Tap 'Items' at the bottom of the screen, then tap the name of the item you want to set an alert for.
- Under 'Notifications', tap 'Notify When Left Behind'.
- Turn on 'Notify When Left Behind'.
- To add a 'Trusted Location', choose a suggested location or tap 'New Location', select a location on the map, then tap 'Done'.
- Tap 'Done'.
Turning on Lost Mode
- Tap 'Items' at the bottom of the screen, then tap the name of the lost item.
- Under 'Lost Mode', tap 'Enable'.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to enter a phone number or email address where you can be reached.
- Tap 'Activate'.
Removing Item from Find My
- Tap 'Items' at the bottom of the screen, then tap the item you want to remove.
- Bring the item near your iPhone.
- Tap 'Remove Item', then follow the on-screen instructions.
- To unpair, long press the button until you hear a long beep, then release to restore factory settings. You can then pair it with an Apple device again.
