Setting up Home Connect
Tip: Connect your appliance to a mobile device. You can conveniently change all settings using the Home Connect app.
1. Scan the following QR code to access the Home Connect app. You can install the app and connect your appliance by scanning this code.
2. Follow the instructions in the Home Connect app.
Overview of Water Hardness Settings
You can find an overview of the water hardness values that can be selected here. A table of country-specific units can be found in the instruction manual.

Setting the Water Softening System
1. Press the [Setup] button.
2. To open the basic settings, press and hold the [Setup] button for 3 seconds. The display shows H:xx.
3. Press the [Start] button repeatedly until the right water hardness has been set. The display shows the selected setting.
4. To save the settings, press and hold the [Setup] button for 3 seconds.
Adding Special Salt
To avoid damage to the appliance, only add special salt to the dispenser for special salt just before the programme starts.
1. Unscrew the lid of the dispenser for special salt and remove it.
2. On initial start-up: Fill the dispenser right up with water.
3. Add the special salt to the dispenser. The water in the dispenser is displaced and forced out. Never add detergent.
4. Place the lid back on the dispenser and turn to close.
Adding Rinse Aid
1. Press the catch on the lid of the dispenser for rinse aid and lift it.
2. Add rinse aid up to the max mark.
3. Close the lid of the dispenser for rinse aid. The lid clicks into position.
Adding Detergent
1. Add the detergent to the dry detergent dispenser.
2. Close the lid of the detergent dispenser. The lid clicks into position.
Programmes
The programme data has been measured in the laboratory according to European standard EN 60436. The consumption figures are guide values (except Eco) and depend on the programme and additional function selected. The running time will change if the rinse aid system is switched off or rinse aid needs to be added.

1 Suitable programme for running at night: it takes longer, but is extremely quiet.
How to Use Your Appliance
- Load the tableware. Only clean tableware that is suitable for dishwashers. Remove large remnants of food from the tableware. Check that the spray arms can rotate freely.
- Add detergent.
- Switch on the appliance.
- Select the programme.
- Start the programme.
- Remove the tableware at the end of the programme.
- To cancel the programme, press and hold the [Reset] button for approximately 4 seconds. The programme is cancelled and ends after approximately 1 minute.
Cleaning Filters
- After each wash, check the filters for residue.
- Turn the coarse filter anticlockwise and remove the filter system.
- Pull down the micro filter to remove.
- Press the locking catches together and lift the coarse filter out.
- Clean the filter elements under running water.
- Re-assemble the filter system.
- Insert the filter system into the appliance and turn the coarse filter clockwise. Make sure that the arrow markings match up.
Cleaning Spray Arms
- Unscrew the upper spray arms and pull down to remove.
- Pull up the lower spray arm to remove.
- Check the outlet nozzles on the spray arms for blockages under running water and remove any foreign objects.
- Insert the lower spray arm. The spray arm clicks into position.
- Insert the upper spray arms and screw firmly in place.
Clean Wastewater Pump
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
- Remove the filter system.
- Scoop out any water.
- Prise off the pump cover using a spoon and grip it by the crosspiece.
- Lift the pump cover inwards at an angle and remove.
- Remove any remnants of food and foreign bodies in the area of the impeller.
- Insert the pump cover and press down. The pump cover clicks into position.
- Install the filter system.
Troubleshooting
E:32-00 or Water Supply Indicator
Cause: Supply hose is kinked, water tap is turned off or jammed/furred up, or filters in the water connection are blocked.
Solution: Install supply hose without kinks. Turn on water tap. Ensure flow rate is at least 10 l/min. Clean filters in water connection: Switch off appliance, pull plug, turn off tap, unscrew connection, remove filter, clean, re-insert, screw connection back on, check for leaks, restore power, switch on appliance.
E:61-02
Cause: Wastewater pump is blocked, cover of the wastewater pump is loose, or filters are soiled/blocked.
Solution: Clean wastewater pump. Secure pump cover. Clean filters.
E:92-40 / Remnants of food on tableware
Cause: Tableware placed too close/basket overfilled, spray arm rotation blocked, spray arm nozzles blocked, filters soiled, filters inserted incorrectly, or washing programme selected too weak.
Solution: Arrange tableware with space. Ensure spray arms rotate freely. Clean spray arms. Clean filters. Insert filters correctly. Select a more intensive programme or adjust sensor sensitivity.
Removable streaks on glasses/cutlery
Cause: Amount of rinse aid set too high, or no rinse aid added.
Solution: Set rinse aid system to a lower setting. Add rinse aid.
Rust spots on cutlery
Cause: Cutlery not sufficiently rust-resistant, or washed with rusting items.
Solution: Use rust-resistant tableware. Do not wash rusting items together.
Detergent residue in dispenser
Cause: Spray arms were blocked by tableware, preventing detergent rinse-out.
Solution: Check that spray arms are not blocked and can rotate freely.
All LEDs light up or flash / Rinse programme does not continue
Cause: Electronics have detected a fault.
Solution: Press the main switch button for approximately 4 seconds to reset and restart the appliance.
