Congratulations on the purchase of your new Caroma bath. We trust you will enjoy many years of relaxation with your beautiful new bath, turning your bathroom into a stylish retreat.
Caroma Acrylic Freestanding Baths
Our products are made from sanitaryware grade acrylic. It resists chipping, will not rust and has excellent heat retention properties. Its surface finish has natural slip resistance.
Cleaning Your Bath
- Daily: Clean with a soft cloth and warm soapy water to wash away any body oils or soap residue that forms a ring tide mark.
- Weekly: Use warm, soapy water. Do not use powders, pastes, cream cleaners, thinners, window cleaning sprays or dry cleaning liquid.
- Stubborn Marks/Scratches: For gloss finish surfaces only, stubborn marks or fine scratches may be polished out with Brasso. DO NOT USE Brasso on matte finish surfaces.
- Essential Oils: When using coloured essential oils, first test that the colour won't stain your bath. Always add oils into a bath full of water. Never pour them into an empty bath.
Important Warnings
Before commencing installation, please read these instructions carefully. Installation must comply with all State By-Laws and any requirements imposed by the local authorities.
NO PUTTIES OR SILICONES CONTAINING LINSEED OIL ARE TO BE USED AS SEALANTS ON THE WASTE. WE RECOMMEND SANITARY GRADE SILICONE.
Receiving Your Bath
Unpack and Check for Damage
After receiving your bath, please unpack and remove all plastic covering, checking carefully for any damage. Repack the bath if it is not being immediately installed. Caroma reserves the right to reject any claim for damage if not notified in a timely manner.
Protect Your Bath
Before commencing installation, ensure the bath is completely protected. Leave protection film in place until the bathroom is complete. Scratches and cracks incurred during installation are not covered by the warranty.
Important Note
Water test your bath to ensure it drains correctly. Compliance with AS3740 Waterproofing of wet areas within residential buildings applies when installing baths. All materials to comply with appropriate Australian & NZ Standards.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Adjust Bath Feet
Adjust the bath feet so they extend 3mm past the base of the bath.

Step 2: Flexible Connector Installation
Carefully tilt bath on its side and use a flexible connector (not supplied) to connect the waste outlet to the drain, as illustrated in Figure 2. Be sure to protect the bath surface. Damage during installation is not covered by warranty.

Step 3: Secure Foot Lockers
Simply drill and secure the foot lockers to the floor where the two back feet of the bath will be positioned on installation. Refer to Figure 4. Please consider compliance with local authority water proofing regulations when installing foot lockers.

Slide the bath into position for the back feet to glide under and into the foot lockers. Refer to Figure 5. Make sure that the flexible connector is not kinked upward upon installation, as this will result in drainage issues.
Step 4: Apply Silicone Sealant
Apply silicone around the bath base surrounding, leaving a 20mm gap in an inconspicuous position for leak detection, as illustrated in Figure 6.

Step 5: Allow Silicone to Cure
Rest the bath for a minimum 24 hours to allow the silicone to fully cure.
