Installation and Operating Instructions
Safety Precautions
WARNING: Battery is hazardous and is to be kept away from children (whether the battery is new or used).
- Battery can cause severe or fatal injuries in 2 hours or less if it is swallowed or placed inside any part of the body.
- Medical attention should be sought immediately if it is suspected the battery has been swallowed or placed any part of the body.
- The supplied remote control has been tested and complies with the requirements of AS/NZS 62368.1: 2018. consumer goods (products containing button/coin batteries) safety standard 2020.
WARNING: THIS TOILET DOUCHE MUST BE INSTALLED WITH APPROPRIATE BACKFLOW PROTECTION CONFORMING TO THE NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION CODE - VOLUME 3. INSTALLATION MUST BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH AS/NZS 3500.2 AND PLUMBING CODE OF AUSTRALIA.
THIS TOILET DOUCHE SEAT IS SUPPLIED WITH DUAL CHECK VALVES AND IT ALSO HAS AN AIR GAP IN THE WATER TANK THAT IS COMPLIANT TO AS2845.2 - WATER SUPPLY BACKFLOW PREVENTION.
NOTE: LOCAL AUTHORITIES MAY HAVE VARYING REQUIREMENTS. CHECK TO CONFIRM IF A RPZ VALVE IS REQUIRED.

Bidet Dimensions
The bidet seat dimensions are provided in millimeters (mm).
- Top View: Length 505mm, Width 370mm. The inner oval seat area is approximately 273mm x 212mm.
- Side View: Height at the back is approximately 107mm, tapering down. The overall height from the base to the top of the lid is approximately 552mm. The water inlet connection (G1/2) is shown on the side.
- Front View: The width is approximately 370mm.

Installation Steps
Follow these steps for installation:
- Attach the water supply hose to the toilet tank inlet valve.
- Secure the mounting plate to the toilet bowl using the provided screws and washers.
- Place the bidet seat onto the mounting plate.
- Connect the water supply to the bidet seat's inlet valve.
- Ensure all connections are secure.
- Connect the power supply.
- Refer to the detailed diagrams for specific steps involving toggle clamps, seat fixing plates, and dual check valves.
Detailed Installation Diagrams:
- Step 1-6: Illustrate initial steps of removing the old seat and preparing the toilet bowl.
- Step 7-12: Show the placement of the mounting plate, attaching the bidet seat, and connecting the water supply. Diagrams indicate the correct placement for the dual check valve.
- Step 13-14: Detail water connection, including the dual check valve, and mention that some parts may not be supplied. Specifically for bottom inlet installations.
- Step 15: Shows connecting the power cord to a wall outlet.

Install the Remote Control
Recommended Installation Area: Mount the remote control on the wall beside the toilet, typically between 750mm and 1000mm from the floor.
- A1: Shows peeling off the adhesive backing from the remote control holder.
- A2: Shows the remote control being placed into its holder.
- A3: Illustrates aligning the holder with a grid pattern on the wall, indicating the correct orientation ('This side up').
- A4: Shows the remote control with its various buttons, including power, wash functions, temperature, flow, and position adjustments.
Overview of the Bidet Seat
The Caroma Livewell Electronic Bidet Seat features several components:
- Cover: The main lid of the seat.
- Seat: The seating surface.
- Proximity sensor: Detects user presence to activate functions.
- Power switch: Located on the side of the unit.
- Air dry: Function for drying after washing.
- Quick-release button: Allows for easy removal of the seat for cleaning.
- Rear wash: Nozzle for posterior cleaning.
- Female wash: Nozzle specifically designed for feminine hygiene.
- Night light: Provides illumination in the dark.
- Night detector: Sensor for the night light.
- Program upgrade: Port for potential software updates.
Remote Control
The remote control allows operation of all bidet functions:
- Rear wash: Button for rear washing.
- Stop / Dryer Fan: Stops current operation or activates the dryer.
- Decrease flow: Reduces water or air flow.
- Decrease position / Night light: Adjusts nozzle position backward or controls night light settings.
- Decrease temperature / Shift: Lowers water temperature or shifts modes.
- Female wash: Button for feminine washing.
- Steps: Indicates different wash cycles or modes.
- Increase flow / Massage: Increases water or air flow, or activates massage function.
- Increase position / Deodoriser: Adjusts nozzle position forward or activates deodorizer.
- Increase temperature / Shift: Raises water temperature or shifts modes.
The remote control also features indicator lights (LEDs) to show settings and status.
Operating the Bidet Seat
Rear Wash / Female Wash
While seated, press the Rear Wash or Female Wash button on the remote control. The bidet will start washing and stop after 2 minutes (at Constant Temperature mode) or 1 minute (at Gradual Cooling mode). Washing can be stopped anytime by pressing STOP or any button on the bidet.
Note: During Rear Wash or Female Wash, the nozzle will wash at a fixed position for 10 seconds, then move backwards and forwards for 18 seconds, returning to the fixed position until complete.
Adjusting the Flow Rate
During Rear Wash, Female Wash, or Drying mode, press the Flow Rate button, then use the Increase (+) or Decrease (-) buttons on the remote control to adjust the flow rate of water and air. Indicator lights on the remote control will show the setting.
Dry Operation
While seated, press the Air Dry button on the remote control. The drying process will begin and stop automatically after 3 minutes. You can stop the drying function at any time by pressing STOP or any button on the bidet.
Stop Operation
During Rear Wash, Female Wash, or Drying mode, press the STOP button on the remote control or any button on the bidet to stop washing or drying.
Massage Operation (Spray jet moves back and forth)
During Rear Wash, Female Wash, or Drying mode, keep pressing Temperature (+) or (-) on the remote control, then press Flow (+). Press Flow (+) again to alternate between different massage modes:
- Oscillating: Indicated by one LED.
- Pulsating: Indicated by two LEDs.
- Oscillating + Pulsating: Indicated by three LEDs.
Adjusting the Nozzle Position
During Rear Wash or Female Wash, press the Position button on the remote control, then use Increase (+) or Decrease (-) to adjust the nozzle position. Indicator lights show the setting.
Adjusting the Temperature
During Rear Wash, Female Wash, or Drying, press the Temperature Increase (+) or Decrease (-) on the remote control to adjust the water temperature. Indicator lights show the setting.
Setting the Night Light
Press and hold the Temperature Increase (+) button, then press the Position Decrease (-) button to cycle through modes:
- OFF: One indicator light is on.
- Always On: Two indicator lights are on.
- Smart: Three indicator lights are on. (Activates in dark environments, OFF in bright ones).
Night Light is set to Always On mode by default.
Power Standby Mode
To enter Power Standby Mode, close the cover and press the Air Dry button for 6 seconds. Press Air Dry again for 6 seconds to exit Standby Mode.
Sound Setting
The sound is ON by default, providing audible beeps for commands. To turn the sound ON/OFF: Press and hold the Temperature + button, then press the Female Wash button.
- OFF MODE: One indicator light is on.
- ON MODE: Two indicator lights are on.
Resetting the Thermostat
If the Electronic Bidet is used in a high-temperature environment (e.g., room temperature exceeds 45°C), it may be necessary to reset the thermostat for proper water heating. Press the indicated button on the unit.
Remote Control Pairing Setting
If multiple electronic bidets are installed in the same area, you can pair each remote control to a specific bidet seat.
- Open cover and seat, set Night Light to OFF.
- Press and hold STOP and Temperature Adjust buttons until an audible beep is heard and the indicator light flickers.
- Release STOP, but keep pressing SHIFT.
- Press FLOW "-" and "+" in order, then release SHIFT. The indicator light shows the ID code.
- Press FLOW "+" to change the ID code to match the indicator lamp.
- Press the Drier button on the bidet seat.
- Press the STOP button on the remote control to finalize setup.
Care and Maintenance

Cleaning Agents and Tools
- Always use a soft lint-free cloth.
- Use warm soapy water or a low acidic cleaning agent.
Avoid abrasive cleaners as they can remove the product's surface gloss. Periodically check the tightness of hinge bolts.
Self-Cleaning Tank
If the Electronic Bidet has not been used for more than 72 hours, it will activate a 3-minute self-cleaning cycle when a user sits down. All buttons are inactive during this process.
Replacing the Filter
The filter has a service life of approximately 6 months, depending on water quality. Replace the filter when wash flow pressure is low. The diagrams (A, B, C, D) illustrate the filter replacement process, including removing the old filter and installing a new one.
Draining the Water Tank
Before disassembling, turn off the water and power supply. Do not invert or tilt the unit until draining is complete.
- Step A: Turn and pull out the valve to drain.
- Step B: Insert and turn the valve to drain.
Quick-Release Seat & Cover
The seat and cover can be quickly released for cleaning:
- A: Lift the cover and seat.
- B: Locate and press the release mechanism on the hinge.
- C: Gently lift the seat and cover away from the toilet bowl.
- D: Follow similar steps in reverse to re-fit the seat.
Nozzle Cleaning
Manual Nozzle Cleaning:
- Open both cover and seat.
- Press and hold the temperature (-) button, then press the decrease flow button once.
- The nozzle will extend, and water will flow for cleaning.
- The nozzle retracts after 5 minutes or when the Stop button is pressed.
The nozzle spray piece can be removed by pulling.
Cleaning without Remote Control: Push both the drier button and front wash button on the seat's control unit for 3 seconds.
Replacing the Batteries
The remote control uses two (2) 3V CR2032 batteries (not supplied). Replace batteries when the Level light flashes continuously.
- Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Remove rechargeable batteries before charging.
- Do not mix different brands or new/used batteries.
- Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries.
- Dispose of flat batteries safely.
- Remove batteries if storing the appliance for extended periods.
