Plug In the Smart Plug
Plug the Meross Smart Plug into an electrical outlet located near your main Wi-Fi router. Note: Proximity to the Wi-Fi router is only required during the initial setup process. Meross Smart Plugs support only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks.

Configure the Device
Open the Meross app and follow the on-screen setup wizard to complete the configuration.

Final Placement
Once configured, you can move the Meross Smart Plug to your desired outlet. No further configuration is needed.
LED and Button Functions
Button
Press the button to turn the connected device ON or OFF.
Press and hold the button for 5 seconds until the LED turns solid amber to initiate a factory reset.
LED Status Indicators
LED State | Description |
---|---|
Solid amber | Initialization, Reset, or Firmware upgrading mode. |
Flashing amber and green slowly | Configuration mode. |
Flashing green rapidly | Wi-Fi connecting mode. |
Solid green | Successfully connected. The socket is ON. |
Solid red | No Internet connection. The socket is ON. |
Off | The socket is OFF, or the Meross Smart Plug is powered off. |
