DinoFire Wireless Controller Quick Start Guide
Controller Layout
The controller features the following buttons and components:
- Left Side: Left Analog Stick ([L3 button]), D-pad (Up, Down, Left, Right), [L button], [ZL button]
- Right Side: Right Analog Stick ([R3 button]), [Y button], [X button], [A button], [B button], [R button], [ZR button]
- Center: [HOME button], [Capture button], [Turbo button], [- button], [+] button
- Back: [M1 button], [M2 button], [SYNC button], [Vibration button], [Reset button]
- Indicators: LED Indicators (indicating connection status and mode)
Connection Method
I. Connect to Nintendo Switch (NS)
Notice: Please turn off airplane mode. Do not touch the analog sticks while connecting.
- Enter the connection interface on the NS console (refer to controller diagram for button locations).
- Press the [SYNC button] on the back of the controller for about 2 seconds until the signal light flashes back and forth. Release your finger and wait for the connection to be successful.
Note: Pressing the [HOME button] can wake up and re-connect the console after the first successful connection.
If unable to connect:
- Turn off airplane mode.
- Delete the information of this controller in the NS console: Go to System Settings > Controllers and Sensors > Disconnect Controllers.
- Follow the first-time connection method and re-pair again.
II. Connect to Android Devices
- Turn on the Bluetooth function of your Android device and search for devices.
- Press the [A button] and [HOME button] on the controller simultaneously until LED 1 and LED 2 flash, then release your fingers.
- On your Android device, find the Bluetooth name "Gamepad", click to pair. LED 1 and LED 2 will remain lit after a successful connection.
Note: This controller supports HID mode games on Android devices. Vibration, screenshot, and motion control functions are not available on Android.
III. Connect to iOS Devices
- Turn on the Bluetooth function of your iOS device and search for devices.
- Press the [B button] and [HOME button] on the controller simultaneously until LED 2 and LED 3 flash, then release your fingers.
- On your iOS device, find the Bluetooth name "Xbox Wireless Controller", click to pair. LED 2 and LED 3 will remain lit after a successful connection.
Note: This controller supports MFI games on iOS devices and requires iOS 13.0 or later. Vibration, screenshot, and motion control functions are not available.
IV. Connect to Windows PC
Wired Connection: Simply connect the controller to your Windows PC using the included USB cable. LED 1 and LED 4 will light up upon successful connection.
Wireless Connection (with receiver):
- Plug the receiver into a USB port on your computer.
- Press the [X button] and [HOME button] on the controller simultaneously until LED 2 and LED 3 flash, then release your fingers. Wait for a successful connection; LED 2 and LED 3 will remain lit.
Note: If the connection fails after a long time, unplug the receiver and repeat steps 1 and 2. This controller supports X-INPUT mode games on Windows (Windows 7 and above) and platforms like Steam. Screenshot and motion control functions are not available on Windows.
Special Prompts
- For connection modes I, II, and III, pressing the [HOME button] will reconnect to the most recently connected device.
- On Android, iOS, and Windows PC:
- Long press the [Capture button] and [L3 button] for about 1 second. The controller will vibrate once, switching the functions of the left analog stick and D-pad.
- Long press the [Capture button] and [R3 button] for about 1 second. The controller will vibrate once, switching the functions of [A] and [B] buttons, and [X] and [Y] buttons.
Turbo Function
The function buttons that can have Turbo enabled are: [A button], [B button], [X button], [Y button], [L button], [ZL button], [R button], [ZR button].
- Set Manual Turbo: Press and hold the [Turbo button], then press one of the function buttons (e.g., [A button]). The [A button] will now have manual turbo enabled.
- Set Auto Turbo: Press and hold the [Turbo button], then press the function button that already has manual turbo enabled. The button will now have auto turbo enabled.
- Turn Off Turbo: Press and hold the [Turbo button], then press the function button that has auto turbo enabled. The turbo function for that button will be turned off.
- Disable All Turbo: Press the [- button] and the [D-pad DOWN button] simultaneously. The controller will vibrate once, indicating that all turbo functions have been disabled.
There are three levels of Turbo speed:
- Slow: 5 bursts per second (indicated by slow flashing of the signal light).
- Medium: 12 bursts per second (indicated by medium flashing of the signal light).
- Fast: 20 bursts per second (indicated by fast flashing of the signal light).
- Increase Turbo Speed: Press the [Turbo button] and the [Up arrow button] simultaneously. The controller will vibrate once, increasing the turbo speed by one level.
- Reduce Turbo Speed: Press the [Turbo button] and the [Down arrow button] simultaneously. The controller will vibrate once, decreasing the turbo speed by one level.
Vibration Function
There are four levels of vibration strength: None, Weak, Medium, and Strong.
Adjusting Vibration Strength:
- Ensure the controller is successfully connected to the console.
- Each time you press the [Vibration button] on the back, you can cycle through the vibration intensity levels.
Programming Setting (Macros)
Reminder: Assign other button's functions to the programmable rear buttons ([M1 button]/[M2 button]).
Programmable Buttons: [A button], [B button], [X button], [Y button], [L button], [ZL button], [R button], [ZR button], [L3 button], [R3 button], and D-pad buttons.
Programming Single Button Steps:
- With the controller working, press and hold the [- button] and the [M1 button] (or [M2 button]) simultaneously for about 2 seconds. The controller will vibrate once, and the joystick's aperture light will turn white and blink.
- Press the desired function button (e.g., [A button]).
- Press the [M1 button] (or [M2 button]) again to save. The controller vibrates once, and the joystick's aperture returns to the normal connection status. The programming for that single button is complete. (Example: Press [-] and [M1] for 2 seconds, joystick aperture blinks white, press [A], then press [M1] to save. The [M1 button] now functions as the [A button].)
Programming Multiple Buttons Steps:
- With the controller working, press and hold the [+] button and the [M1 button] (or [M2 button]) simultaneously for about 2 seconds. The controller vibrates once, and the joystick's aperture light will turn white and blink.
- Sequentially press the multiple buttons you want to set (e.g., [B button], then after 1 second press [A button], then after 3 seconds press [X button]). The controller will record the time interval between each button press.
- Press the [M1 button] (or [M2 button]) again to save. The controller vibrates once, and the joystick's aperture returns to the normal connection status. Programming for multiple buttons is complete. (Example: The [M1 button] will now function as [B button], after 1 second as [A button], and after 3 seconds as [X button].)
You can test the programming success on your console: System Settings > Controllers and Sensors > Test Input Devices > Test Controller Buttons.
Clear Programming:
- To clear single button programming: Press the [+] button and the [M1 button] (or [M2 button]) simultaneously for about 2 seconds until the joystick's aperture blinks white, then press the [M1 button] (or [M2 button]) to clear that specific button's programming.
- To clear all macro programming: Press the [Turbo button] and the [- button] simultaneously. The controller will vibrate once, indicating all macros have been cleared.
Lighting Effect Control
- Press the [Light button]: Cycles through fixed light colors.
- Press [Light button] and [+] button: Adjusts to breathing mode or light mode.
- Press [Light button] and [L3 button]: Turns the joystick aperture light effect on or off.
- Press [Light button] and [R3 button]: Turns the panel light effect on or off. (Note: Matte black version does not have panel light effect.)
- Press [Light button] and move the left analog stick up or down: Adjusts the brightness of the joystick aperture light.
Gyro Manual Calibration
If you experience drifting or other joystick issues during gameplay, you can perform manual calibration.
Operation Method:
- Place the controller on a horizontal surface with the controller powered off.
- Press the [HOME button] and [- button] simultaneously.
- Wait for LED 1, LED 2, LED 3, and LED 4 to flash alternately three times.
- Press the [+] button. The signal light will go out, and calibration is complete.
