Getting Started
Step 1: Download the App
Scan the QR Code and download the Hover X1 App. The app is available for iOS and Android.
Step 2: Charging
Charge the battery by plugging the charging cable into the device. A flashing battery indicator signifies that the battery is charging. Once fully charged, the battery lights will all turn on and then turn off.
Step 3: Power on/off
Press and hold the power button until you hear the power-on sound and the status light turns green. The device will power on in approximately 3 seconds.
Step 4: Toggle between different flight modes
Place the HOVERAir X1 Smart flat in the palm of your hand. Press the [Mode button] to toggle flight modes, and then press the power button again to take off.
To take off: Place the drone in your hand and press the power button.
Step 5: Landing your HOVERAir X1 Smart
To land: Grab the HOVERAir X1 Smart from the air and short-press the power button, or flip the device 180 degrees. The propellers will stop turning.
Alternatively, place your palm 20 centimeters below the HOVERAir X1 Smart. The drone will automatically land in your palm, and the propellers will stop rotating.
Attention: Do not insert fingers or other objects into the prop guard. [prohibited action]
Step 6: Connect to the app
Use the Hover X1 app to enjoy the best flying experience.

Disclaimers and Warnings
This manual contains important information for the safe and correct usage of this product. Read this handbook carefully before using the product. The HOVERAir X1 Smart is a small flying camera for taking pictures and videos. This product is not a toy and should not be operated by a person whose use of the product would create safety concerns, including but not limited to:
- Children under 14; Minors aged 15-18 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian or supervised by a professional.
- Persons affected by alcohol, illegal drugs, dizziness, tiredness, or other unpleasant physical or mental conditions.
- Avoid obstacles, people, animals, buildings, public facilities, trees, and water during flight. Pay special attention when the device's altitude rises.
- Before operating, read the entire handbook to understand product features. Improper use may cause property damage, accident, or injury. By using this product, you signify understanding and acceptance of all terms and conditions.
- The user agrees to be responsible for their actions and all derived results, using the product only for safe and lawful purposes.
- Advice or information from external policies does not apply to the company or its products unless specified.
Guidelines for safe use
Flying environment
This product must be flown in an area where general flight is permitted. Flight area restrictions include, but are not limited to:
- This product uses a bottom-facing visual sensor. It is suitable for heights between 0.5 and 15 meters.
- Avoid flying at night; vision systems may not recognize low-light ground features.
- If ground texture is unclear, the vision system may malfunction. Use caution in situations with monochrome ground, water or transparent ground, highly reflective ground, areas with frequent light changes, very dark or very bright ground, and areas with moving objects at the bottom.
- The bottom-facing visual sensor must be kept clean and unobstructed.
- Do not operate in areas with large elevation differences (e.g., flying out of tall building windows).
- Do not use the device in inclement weather: high winds (over level 4), snow, rain, dense fog, strong winds, hail, lightning, tornadoes, and typhoons.
- Do not operate below 0°C or above 40°C.
- Do not operate in no-fly areas. Refer to Local Laws and Flight Regulations for more information.
- Avoid flying above 2,000m altitude.
- When taking off in areas with solid particles (deserts, beaches), operate carefully to avoid particles entering the body or camera parts.
Use of wireless communication (Wi-Fi)
When using wireless remote control, fly where wireless communication is working properly.
Please note:
- Fly in an open area free of obstacles.
- Do not fly near areas with magnetic or radio interference, including Wi-Fi hotspots, Bluetooth devices, high voltage cables, radar stations, mobile base stations, and broadcast towers. Interference may cause malfunction or uncontrollable behavior, leading to degraded product quality and image transmission errors.
Pre-flight confirmation
Before using, understand all features, flight requirements, and government regulations, including:
- Ensure the product is fully charged.
- Check that the device and its components (prop guards, motor, batteries, propellers, gimbal) are functioning properly.
- Ensure the Hover X1 App is updated to the latest version.
- Read the product information, disclaimer, Safety Manual, and Getting Started Guide.
How to safely operate
Always pay attention to safety regulations. The user is responsible for personal or property injury caused by improper usage. Proper operating procedures include:
- Stay away from rotating propellers and motors.
- Confirm an appropriate flying environment. Avoid flying over water or snow for proper visual system function.
- Ensure the product is used in an environment without obstructions. Pay attention to surroundings during flight.
- Ensure sufficient battery for normal operation. Low battery power-off may damage or prevent saving of video/images. The Company is not liable for data loss due to user error.
- Do not tamper with the gimbal.
- The Company is not liable for malfunctions, injury, or accidents caused by using non-qualified accessories.
- Do not modify or disassemble the product. The user is responsible for consequences of modification or disassembly.
Other precautions
- Do not use under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, medication, anesthesia, or conditions causing physical/cognitive impairment (dizziness, fatigue, nausea).
- Do not drop, throw, or load the product with hazardous materials. Do not use near buildings, people, or animals, as this may cause injury or property damage.
- Do not use a damaged or abnormally performing product.
- Respect others' privacy. Do not take images or record videos without consent.
- Comply with local drone flight rules and regulations. Do not use for illegal or improper activities (espionage, military operations).
- To ensure safety, do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the protective frame. User is responsible for any damage/injury caused.
Product Maintenance
Maintenance and Storage
- Store in a protective case in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight. Avoid shocks, severe electric shock, or prolonged sunlight.
- Do not expose to rain or liquids. If contact occurs, dry with a soft, absorbent cloth. Opening a water-damaged unit may cause irreparable damage. Do not use alcohol, benzene, diluted liquids, or flammable substances for cleaning or storage. Do not store in wet or dirty places.
- Store the battery in a suitable place when not in use. Recommended battery storage temperatures: Short-term (within 3 months): -10°C ~ 30°C. Long-term (3 months or more): 25±3°C.
- Address any battery abnormalities immediately by replacing the battery. Refer to the "Battery Safety Guide" for details.
Precautions for transportation
- Suitable temperature for transporting the battery: 23±5°C.
- Refer to local airport regulations before carrying batteries on board. Do not transport damaged or faulty batteries.

Legal flight restrictions
- Do not fly in or around no-fly zones designated by local laws and regulations.
- Do not fly in areas with crowds (public performances, events).
- Fly within the operator's line of sight.
- Do not use to transport illegal or dangerous goods or cargo.
- Before flying, understand flight activity types and comply with local regulations.
- Do not participate in unauthorized or unpermitted flights, or flights violating legal rights (privacy, publicity), or illegal flights.
Flight Restrictions
- Use the product safely according to local laws and regulations. Update the App to the latest version.
- Restricted areas include major airports, major cities/regions, and event venues. Consult and comply with local regulations before flying.
- Be aware of surroundings and avoid obstacles like buildings, roofs, power lines, and trees.

The product warranty is based on the purchase receipt. If manufacturing defects are discovered during the warranty period, the Company will repair the product free of charge. If the product is not covered or is damaged due to user error, a repair service fee will apply. Transportation costs for free repairs are borne by the company.
The warranty does not cover the following:
- Damage from misuse (transportation, dropping, etc.).
- Product covered, repaired, disassembled, or with non-company parts replaced.
- Accidental or indirect damage, or obvious human damage (liquid infiltration, drop damage, improper voltage, motherboard damage).
- Malfunction or damage from non-compliance with the manual, incorrect installation, neglect, modification, or disassembly.
- Lost, falsified, or tampered proof of purchase or shipping receipt.
- Damaged, falsified, or tampered product labels, serial numbers, or waterproof markings.
- Damage from uncontrolled external factors (fire, flood, strong wind, lightning).
- Products without manufacturing or quality defects.
Notes on Use
- Data Backup: Back up all data before sending for repair. The Company is not responsible for data loss.
- Ownership of Repaired Parts: Ownership of removed parts belongs to the Company.
- Maintenance Costs: For products not covered by warranty, customers pay pre-established fees for paid services. Refusal to pay may result in temporary service suspension. Customers are responsible for any consequences.

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation.
