Desk Phone Features

The Poly VVX 250 is a versatile desk phone designed for efficient communication. Familiarize yourself with its key features:

  • Line keys: Manage multiple phone lines, view calls, and quickly access favorite contacts.
  • Back key: Navigate to the previous screen.
  • Transfer key: Transfer active calls to another contact.
  • Hold key: Place active calls on hold or resume held calls.
  • Volume keys: Adjust the volume for the handset, headset, and speakerphone.
  • Soft keys: Context-sensitive buttons that change based on the on-screen display.
  • Home key: Return to the main home screen.
  • Navigation keys: Scroll through menus and options.
  • Headset key: Activate headset for calls.
  • Speakerphone key: Use the speakerphone for hands-free calls.

Basic Call Operations

  • Placing a call: Dial the number and lift the receiver, press the headset key, or press the speakerphone key.
  • Answering a call: Lift the receiver, press the headset key, or press the speakerphone key.
  • Placing a call on hold: Press the Hold key or '#' during an active call.
  • Retrieving a held call: Press the Hold key or '#' to resume a call.
  • Starting a Three-Way call: Press the 'Conf' soft key, dial the extension, and press 'Conf' again to merge.
  • Transferring a call: Use 'Warm Transfer' (announce the call before connecting) or 'Blind Transfer' (transfer directly without announcing). Follow the on-screen prompts for each method.
  • Voicemail Transfer: Press the Transfer soft key, then the Blind soft key, and dial the voicemail extension.
  • Parking a call: Use the 'Park' soft key to place a call on hold at a specific extension. Note the park location (e.g., *802).
  • Retrieving a Parked Call: Press the designated key followed by the park location.
  • Paging: Press '84' and follow the prompts for making a page announcement.
  • Initiating an Intercom call: Press '85' and follow the prompts to call another extension directly.
