SEVERIN SM 3771 / SM 3772 Immersion Blender Warranty Information
This document outlines the warranty terms and conditions provided by SEVERIN for the SM 3771 and SM 3772 immersion blenders.
Understanding Your Rights
If your SEVERIN appliance is defective, you are entitled to statutory buyer's rights regarding defects. Exercising these rights is free of charge and must be asserted against your contract partner, i.e., the dealer from whom you purchased the appliance. The warranty provided here is a voluntary additional service from SEVERIN and does not restrict your statutory rights.
Warranty Coverage and Conditions
SEVERIN provides the following warranty:
- Coverage: If the appliance is found to be defective at the time of risk transfer (i.e., upon receipt), SEVERIN, as the manufacturer, will, at its discretion, remedy the defect free of charge within a reasonable time or provide a new, defect-free appliance. This warranty is not a durability guarantee.
- Product Identification: This warranty applies to the appliance identified by the article number stated on the front page.
- Eligibility: To benefit from this warranty, you must have purchased the appliance as new. The warranty does not apply to used, repaired, or refurbished equipment.
- Claim Period: Warranty rights must be exercised within two years of receiving the appliance. For purchases in physical retail, this is from the time of pickup; for mail order, from the delivery date. (Note: In Spain, a 3-year warranty is offered).
- Exclusions: The warranty does not cover defects or faults caused by:
- Incorrect setup or installation, including non-compliance with safety regulations or written instructions for use, installation, and assembly.
- Improper use, including misuse, improper operation, or excessive strain.
- External influences such as transport damage, damage from shock or impact, or weather-related damage.
- Current and voltage fluctuations outside tolerance limits.
- Failure to perform maintenance and cleaning as per the instructions for use.
- Use-related or natural wear and tear, such as the decreasing charging capacity of rechargeable batteries, lamps, or components that typically require regular replacement during the product's lifecycle.
- Limitations: SEVERIN does not assume voluntary obligations beyond the warranty terms, such as reimbursement for transport, installation, or dismantling costs. Statutory obligations remain unaffected.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
To assert your warranty rights:
- Contact your contract partner (the dealer from whom you purchased the appliance).
- Provide the following information:
- Your full name, address, and phone number or email address.
- A description of the appliance's defect (a brief description of the symptoms is sufficient).
- The date of purchase or, if different, the date of delivery.
Your dealer will then contact SEVERIN to arrange the necessary steps. Alternatively, you can contact SEVERIN customer service directly with the above information.
Contact details for your country can be found in the appendix to this warranty statement or on the SEVERIN website: www.severin.com.
