5. Cleaning and Maintenance

5.1 Important Information About Your Stainless Steel Product

Stainless steel, while resistant, can corrode when in contact with cleaning products containing chlorine (e.g., bleach, sanitizing water). While kitchen utensils are less prone to corrosion due to frequent washing and drying, appliances require special care to prevent oxidation.

  • Do not use wax, silicone-based cleaning products, or flammable materials on the hood.
  • Do not use abrasive materials like steel wool, sharp objects, alcohol, or silicone cleaners, as they can damage the product.
  • For routine cleaning, use only a soft cloth or sponge with mild, neutral soap, degreasers, or detergents. Do not use chlorine-based products.
  • Always rinse with a damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth or paper to prevent water spots and oxidation.
  • Clean stainless steel areas in the direction of the grain and rinse immediately.

5.2 Grease Filter (Metallic)

It is recommended to wash the grease filter at least once a month or when the LED 2 indicator flashes. The filter can be washed manually or in a dishwasher (use a short, low-temperature cycle). Dishwasher washing may cause the filter surface to become opaque, but this does not affect performance. To remove the filter, pull the spring-loaded handle backward and then pull the filter down. Reverse the procedure to reinstall. The indicator flashes every 40 hours of use.

✅ Important: Never use abrasive substances when cleaning the product.

5.3 Activated Carbon Filter (Recirculating Mode)

The activated carbon filter should only be used in recirculating mode. It is recommended to wash the carbon filter monthly or when LED 4 flashes. For activation instructions, refer to Section 4. The filter can be washed with hot water and detergent or in a dishwasher at 65°C with standard dishwasher detergent. Do not place anything else in the dishwasher with the filter. After washing, reactivate the filter by placing it in an oven at 100°C for 10 minutes. The carbon filter should be replaced every 3 years.
