Important Safety Instructions
WARNING: Read and follow all instructions before installing and using this electrical equipment.
- The spa must be supplied through an isolating transformer or a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA.
- Test the pump before each use.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
- Do not use extension cords to connect the unit to the electric supply; provide a properly located outlet.
- No part of the appliance should be located above the bath during use.
- Parts with live parts (except low voltage parts) must be inaccessible. Electrical components must be fixed so they cannot fall into the spa.
- The pump plug must be more than 3.5m away from the spa.
- The plug must be accessible after installation.
- TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT USE THE SPA WHEN IT IS RAINING.
- Never wear contact lenses when in your spa.
- Do not use the spa during chemical maintenance.
- The power source should be more than 4m away from the pool and at a height of at least 1.2m.
- Extension cords cannot be used.
- Do not plug or unplug the appliance with wet hands.
- Always unplug the appliance: on rainy days, before cleaning/maintenance, or when leaving it unattended.
- Cleaning and maintenance must be performed by an adult (18+ years) familiar with electric shock risks.

Heating Information
Heating duration depends on starting water temperature and ambient temperature. The table below is for reference.
Ambient Temperature | Water Temperature | Set Temperature | Heating Duration |
---|---|---|---|
10°C (50°F) | 10°C (50°F) | 40°C (104°F) | 18.5h |
15°C (59°F) | 15°C (59°F) | 40°C (104°F) | 15h |
20°C (68°F) | 20°C (68°F) | 40°C (104°F) | 11.5h |
25°C (77°F) | 25°C (77°F) | 40°C (104°F) | 8.5h |
30°C (86°F) | 30°C (86°F) | 40°C (104°F) | 5.5h |
IMPORTANT! Be sure to cover the SPA with the SPA cover whenever the heating function is activated. Leaving the SPA uncovered will increase the heating duration required. Do not use the SPA when ambient temperature is lower than 4°C (39°F).

Maintenance
CAUTION: ENSURE PUMP IS UNPLUGGED BEFORE SPA MAINTENANCE.
Filter Cartridge Maintenance: Check and clean filter cartridges daily. Replace weekly or if soiled/discolored.
Water Maintenance: Maintain chemical balance for clean spa water.
- Salt Chlorinator System: Regularly use the built-in system. It produces chlorine from salt. Set operation time to 8 hours initially. Test free chlorine twice daily; adjust operation time as needed. Test weekly. Do not use if free chlorine is > 4 ppm.
- Chemical Tablets/Liquid: Use chlorine or bromine tablets with a chemical floater.
Water should be changed approximately every 3 days or longer with proper chemical maintenance. Water quality is influenced by usage, persons using the spa, and general maintenance.
Recommendation: Shower before using the spa to remove cosmetic products and residues.
Water Chemistry Recommendations:
Parameter | Range |
---|---|
pH | 7.4-7.6 |
Total Alkalinity | 80-120 ppm |
Free Chlorine | 2-4 ppm |
NOTE: Damage from chemical imbalance is not covered by warranty. Handle pool chemicals with care.
Air-Valve Adjustment: If there is air leakage, check the air valve. Use soapy water to find leaks. Use the provided wrench to fasten the air-valve clockwise.
- Do not over tighten.
- Always check the air valve carefully before use.
- Do not adjust the air valve connector when the spa is in use.
Maintenance Procedures
Jet Nozzle Maintenance: Twist to remove nozzle, clean debris. Insert and twist clockwise to reassemble.
Salt Chlorinator System Maintenance: Follow diagrams for cleaning the electrolytic cell. If deposits remain after washing, soak the cell in kitchen-grade vinegar for about 4 hours, then wash again. Repeat if necessary.
Draining the Spa: Follow diagrams for draining the spa.
Spa Repair & Cleaning
Cleaning the spa: Use soap and water to clean the spa walls. Rinse thoroughly. DO NOT use hard brushes or abrasive cleaners.
Spa Repair:
- For Spa Inflatable Cover: If torn or punctured, use the provided heavy-duty repair patch. Clean the area, peel the patch, press it over the area, and wait 30 minutes before inflation.
- For Spa Liner: Use the provided PVC repair patch and glue (not included). Clean and dry the area. Cut patch to size. Apply glue evenly to one side of the patch. Wait 30 seconds, then place the patch over the damaged area. Smooth out air bubbles and press firmly for two minutes. Wait 30 minutes before inflation. Repeat if further leaks occur.
Troubleshooting & Storage
Lay-Z-Spa Storage: Ensure the spa and pump are completely dry before storing. Use the pump to blow dry. Remove filter sets and discard used cartridges. Re-attach stopper caps. Store in original packaging in a warm, dry place. Freezing can severely damage the spa and void the warranty.
Disposal: Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste. Use separate collection facilities. Contact your local government for information.
