Thank you for purchasing an Innuos Music Server. This quick start guide will assist you in setting up your new Music Server.

1. ZEN/ZENith Mk3 Rear Panel Diagram
The rear panel of the ZEN/ZENith Mk3 features the following connections:
- 1. Mains Power Connector: Connects the device to the mains power supply.
- 2. Fuse Box: Houses the fuse for the power supply.
- 3. On/Off Switch: Powers the device on or off.
- 4. HDMI Output (Service Only): For service purposes only.
- 5. USB for Backup Drive (USB 3): Connect external USB drives for backup.
- 6. USB DAC output (USB 2): Connect a USB DAC for audio output.
- 7. Ethernet Input from Router: Connect to your home router for network connectivity.
- 8. Ethernet Streamer Port: Connect to a network audio streamer.

Your Innuos ZEN / ZENith Mk3 package includes:
- 1. Innuos ZEN / ZENith Mk3 Music Server
- 2. Mains Cable: Power cable suitable for your region (CHN/AUS, EU, USA/CAN, UK).
- 3. 2m Ethernet Cable: For network connection.
3. Connect Your System to Mains Power
- Ensure the On/Off switch (3) is in the OFF position.
- Connect the Mains Cable (2) to the Mains Power Connector (1) on the rear of the Music Server.
- Plug the other end of the Mains Cable into a wall socket (3).
4. Connect Your System to Your Home Network
OPTION A: Wired to the Internet Router
- Connect one end of the Ethernet Cable (3) to the LAN port (7) on the rear of the Innuos device.
- Connect the other end of the Ethernet Cable to an available Ethernet port on your internet router (2).
5. Connect Network Audio Device to Streamer Port
NOTE: This step is optional and not required for the server's basic operation.
The Streamer Port (8) provides a dedicated wired network connection for streamers, wireless speakers, and other network audio products. Connect your network audio device to this port using an Ethernet cable.
6. Using Your System as a Player
SETUP A: Connect to a DAC/Amplifier via USB
- Connect the USB Male A to Male B Cable (not included) from the USB DAC output (6) on the Innuos device to the USB input on your DAC/Amplifier (2).
Note: The USB cable is not included. Ensure your DAC is compatible with USB Audio Class 2.
7. Turn on Your System
- Press the front power button (2) once briefly. Do not hold it down.
The indicator light will turn WHITE, indicating the system is powering on. After approximately 30 seconds, it will turn BLUE, signifying that the system is ready.
8. Accessing Your Innuos Device
You can access your Innuos device through various methods:
- iPhone / iPad: Download the 'Innuos Sense' app from the App Store.
- Android: Download the 'Innuos Sense' app from Google Play.
- Desktop: Access your device via a web browser by navigating to my.innuos.com.
Once accessed, you can manage your music library and settings.
9. Update innuOS Software to the Latest Version
- Access your Innuos device via a web browser at my.innuos.com or use the Innuos Sense app.
- Navigate to the Home page.
- Select 'Server'.
- Go to 'Settings'.
- Select 'System Update'.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
10. Adding Music to Your System
OPTION A: Rip CDs
- Insert a CD into the drive. The system will automatically start ripping the CD. This process typically takes 3-5 minutes.
Caution: Do not push the CD while it is being drawn in, as this may cause it to jam or damage the optical drive.
OPTION B: Import Digital Music
- Access your Innuos device via a web browser at my.innuos.com or use the Innuos Sense app.
- Navigate to the Home page and select 'Server'.
- Select the 'Import' option.
- Choose your preferred import method.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the import process.
11. Streaming Services and Integrations
- Access your Innuos device via a web browser at my.innuos.com or use the Innuos Sense app.
- Navigate to the Home page and select 'Server'.
- Go to 'Settings'.
- Under 'Streaming Services' (A), you can configure services like Qobuz and TIDAL.
- Under 'Integrations' (B), you can set up integrations with devices like SONOS and UPnP.
- Follow the on-screen instructions for each service or integration.
12. Turn Off Your System
- Press the front power button (1) once briefly. Do not hold it down.
The indicator light will change from BLUE (System Running) to OFF after approximately 5 seconds. You can optionally disconnect the mains power cable (2) after the system has fully shut down.
