ADA SMART Pro Bypass Cable for Renault

The Renault® Bypass Cable allows for direct connection to the vehicle's Body Control Module (BCM), bypassing the secure gateway module. The two 40-pin connectors, male and female, plug directly into the BCM. The two 16-pin connectors are used to connect the SMART Pro to the vehicle OBD if power is needed. Using the newly developed RISCO Prox reader, connected to the RISCO Bus, users can control up to 32 doors. Readers are automatically assigned to the panel according to the serial number on BUS (no dip switches), making connection and setup seamless.

SMART PRO UPDATE

A considerable amount of development work has gone into the SMART Pro for enhancing and extending key programming for the Volkswagen Group. Historically, the Volkswagen Group has been challenging for key programming, particularly with Audi, due to limited dealer network access, numerous ECU and dash cluster variants, and PIN reading demands. This has required technicians to invest in multiple programming tools.

The SMART Pro software for programming TP2.0 platform vehicles (2003-2010) has been redesigned with extended coverage for:

• Most engine ECU variants are supported, with exception of a small number of Siemens and Bosch EDC17.

MLAA EVENT REVIEW

MLAA VIC BRANCH MEETING

On June 8th, LSC hosted the Master Locksmiths Association of Australasia (MLAA) Victorian Branch Meeting at its Distribution & Training Centre. Despite cold Melbourne weather, the event had a sensational turnout. Guests enjoyed disposable hand-warmers and gas heaters. The featured product was the Italian-made Silca Unocode F-Series, with an Italian theme throughout the evening. Guests were treated to woodfired pizzas, prosecco, and local beer.

In addition to the Silca Unocode F-Series, the LSC team hosted live product displays, including:

Ideal for vans or medium volume shops, or as a backup or secondary machine. The Rekord Pro S is compact, user-friendly, safe, and reliable.

The machine includes the Quick Rotation clamp system, familiar to users of the Futura family. Just loosen the clamp knob and rotate – no need to lift or pull – just twist and the clamp locks into place. The four-sided clamps can hold just about any single or double-sided flat inline residential or automotive key, including blades, flip keys, small padlock keys, or cruciform keys.

Smooth and self-lubricating carriage bushes guarantee smooth and safe carriage movements. The left-hand lever moves the carriage confidently and without play for safe operation. The HSS cutter is TiAIN coated for a longer life, and the deburring brush is Tynex, ensuring safety and quick removal of swarf without wearing or damaging the key.

Ample tool and key storage areas top and bottom keep the work area clean and accessories at hand. A microswitch activates the motor when the carriage is released and switches it off when replaced, improving operator safety. The Micrometric tracer point adjustment is easy, precise, and stable – once set, lock it in and cut keys without fuss.
