Introduction
This LED controller is designed to drive single color to RGB+CCT constant voltage LED products in the voltage range of DC 8-50V. With the powerful functions of the Casambi platform, it also offers advanced user parameters for fine-tuning applications. It features a full protection function to ensure safety, and its push cable connectors make installation simple and reliable.
Function & Size
The controller has a compact rectangular form factor. Its dimensions are approximately 134mm in length, 112mm in width, and 39mm in height. It features four main connection terminals labeled 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Key features are indicated by icons and text:

Wiring
Please connect the controller output to the LED loads and the power supply to the controller's power input. The power supply voltage must match the LED load's rated voltage. Ensure all cables are well-connected and insulated before powering on.
The wiring diagram illustrates the connections:
- Input: Connects to "To 110/230 AC power" via an "8-50V DC output Power supply".
- Controller Terminals: Labeled "LED Controller". Terminal 1 is for Power Input (+), Terminal 2 for Press Key Input, Terminal 3 for Working Status Indicator, and Terminal 4 for LED Output.
- Output: Connects to "1-5CH Constant voltage LED Loads".
Optional components shown are an "Optional RF remote controller" and "Casambi App", both connecting wirelessly to the controller.
This model supports 1-5 channel applications from single color to RGB+CCT. The terminal functions for different output wiring configurations are:
RGB+CCT Output
Terminal 4 (Output):
- Channel 1 (+): Common anode.
- Channel 2 (W): Warm White.
- Channel 3 (G): Green.
- Channel 4 (R): Red.
- Channel 5 (B): Blue.
- Channel 6 (CW): Cool White.
RGBW Output
Terminal 4 (Output):
- Channel 1 (+): Common anode.
- Channel 2 (W): White.
- Channel 3 (G): Green.
- Channel 4 (R): Red.
- Channel 5 (B): Blue.
RGB Output

Single Color Output

1. Power Supply Input
Connect to power supply. The controller accepts supply voltage from DC 8V to 50V, with a maximum cable gauge of AWG12 or 2.5mm². The controller's output voltage matches the power input voltage. Ensure the power supply voltage is correct and the power capacity is sufficient for the load wattage. The power input '+' terminal is directly connected to the output terminal '+' inside the controller.
2. Press Key Input
Connect to a normally open type press key switch for local operation. Three operation methods are available:
- Single press: Turn on/off.
- Double click: Change color or color temperature.
- Hold press: Dimming.
3. Working Status Indicator
This indicator displays the controller's working status through different events:
- Steady green: Normal working.
- Short green blink: Command received.
- Green blink for 3 times: Confirmation or identification.
- Single yellow flash: Edge of the adjustment.
- Red flash: Overload protection.
- Yellow flash: Overheat protection.
4. LED Output
Connect to LED loads. The LED loads must be constant voltage driving type and use a common anode connection for multi-channel models. Ensure the LED rated voltage matches the power supply voltage, and each channel's maximum load current is within the controller's rated current limits.
Operation
5. Control by smartphone
Install the CASAMBI app on your smartphone. Requires iOS10.0, Android 4.4, or macOS11.0 or later. All controller functions are integrated within the CASAMBI app; refer to the app for detailed operation guidance.
6. Pair the optional RF remote
In addition to smartphone and press key control, users can utilize the RM05 RF remote controller for on/off, brightness, and color adjustments. The remote controller must be paired with the controller before use. Consult the remote controller's manual for pairing instructions.
Advanced Features
7. Change model function
The working mode can be switched from 1 channel (single color) to 5 channels (RGB+CCT) via the Casambi app. To change the model, ensure the controller is unpaired, then select the 'Change profile' function in the app to choose the desired model.
8. Change user parameters
User parameters such as press key function, RF remote settings, gradient time, and PWM frequency are adjustable within the Casambi app's settings menu.
CAUTION! The PWM frequency option helps resolve flicker or audible noise issues in some applications. For stable operation, avoid setting a high frequency if no such issues are present. Increasing the PWM frequency can reduce controller efficiency and may require output current derating (up to 50% for frequencies above 4KHz) to prevent overheating.
9. Protection Feature
The controller is equipped with comprehensive protection against wiring errors, load short circuits, overload, and overheating. In case of an anomaly, the controller will stop operation, and the indicator will flash red or yellow. The controller will attempt to recover automatically when the working condition improves.
When the controller stops, check the indicator status for fault diagnosis:
- Red flash: Verify output cables and load for short circuits. Ensure the load current is within the rated range and that the load is a constant voltage type.
- Yellow flash: Inspect the installation environment for proper temperature range and adequate ventilation or heat dissipation.
