Other Consumer Safety Information
This appliance is intended for household use only.
WARNING Electrical Shock Hazard: This appliance is provided with a polarized plug (one wide blade) to reduce the risk of electric shock. The plug fits only one way into a polarized outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the plug by modifying the plug in any way or by using an adapter. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, have an electrician replace the outlet.
The length of the cord used on this appliance was selected to reduce the hazards of becoming tangled in or tripping over a longer cord. If a longer cord is necessary, an approved extension cord may be used. The electrical rating of the extension cord must be equal to or greater than the rating of the appliance. Care must be taken to arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidentally tripped over.
To avoid an electrical circuit overload, do not use another high-wattage appliance on the same circuit with this appliance.
CAUTION: HOT SURFACE. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.

Before cooking on this induction cooktop, check whether your cookware is suitable via the magnetic strip. If the magnetic strip can stick to the bottom of your cookware, it’s inductive.
How Induction Cooking Works
Induction cooking works through a magnetic field between the induction coils beneath the glass top and the ferrous (iron-containing) material in the cookware. Heat is produced directly in the pan itself, not in the glass top. The Induction Cooktop surface will get hot due to heat transfer from the pan.
How to Use
Before First Use
Only induction-ready cookware will work. Cookware must have iron in the bottom. Use the included Magnetic Test Strip; if it sticks, the cookware is induction-ready.
NOTE: Compatible cookware includes some stainless steel, steel, and cast iron.
- Use only flat-bottomed cookware with a diameter of 4 to 10 inches (10.16 to 25.4 cm).
- Wipe the Cooking Zone with a soft, water-dampened cloth.
- Cookware must be placed on the Cooking Zone for the cooktop to function. An error code "---" will appear if cookware is absent or unsuitable.
Operation
- Plug the Induction Cooktop into an outlet. The unit will beep, and the ON/OFF [power-off symbol] Button will flash.
- Place compatible cookware on the Cooking Zone. Press the ON/OFF [power-off symbol] Button; the indicator will light up. If no cookware is present or the POWER/TEMP button is not pressed within 30 seconds, the POWER and TEMP indicator lights will flash red and turn off.
- Press the POWER [power symbol] or TEMP [temperature symbol] Button to select the cooking mode.
- For temperature mode, press the TEMP [temperature symbol] Button, then use the [minus button] or [plus button] to adjust the temperature. A beep sounds with each adjustment. For power mode, press the POWER [power symbol] Button, then use the [minus button] or [plus button] to adjust the power level from P1 to P10. A beep sounds with each adjustment.
- Press the TIMER [clock symbol] Button if desired. Use the [minus button] or [plus button] to set the timer from 1 to 150 minutes. The cooktop will turn off automatically when the set time is reached.
- Press the ON/OFF [power-off symbol] Button to turn off the unit.
Care and Cleaning
WARNING Electrical Shock Hazard. Disconnect power before cleaning. Do not immerse cord or plug in any liquid.
- When finished cooking, turn the cooktop OFF [power-off symbol]. Unplug the unit. Allow the cooktop to cool completely.
- Wipe the cooktop surface with a soft, wet cloth. For further cleaning, use a mixture of water and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or abrasive sponges.
NOTES:
- Do NOT slide cookware over the cooktop surface.
- Do NOT place anything other than compatible cookware on the cooktop surface.
Troubleshooting
Error code "---" appears on Display.
