User Manual
1 General
1.1 Introduction
This user manual contains important information about the handling of the product. To ensure safety when using the product, read the user manual carefully and follow the safety instructions. If you find that the font size in the printed document is difficult to read, you can download the PDF version from the website. Invacare reserves the right to alter product specifications without further notice.
In case of a serious incident with the product, you should inform the manufacturer and the competent authority in your country.
1.2 Warranty Information
Invacare provides a manufacturer's warranty for the product in accordance with its General Terms and Conditions of Business in the respective countries. Warranty claims can only be made through the provider from whom the product was obtained.
1.3 Compliance
This CE- and UKCA-marked medical device conforms to: EU Medical Device Regulation, UK Medical Device Regulation, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, REACH, ISO 17966 and related standards.
This manual MUST be given to the user of the product. BEFORE using this product, this manual MUST be read and saved for future reference.
1.4 Service Life
The expected service life of this product is three years when used daily and in accordance with the safety instructions, maintenance intervals and correct use, stated in this manual. The effective service life can vary according to frequency and intensity of use.
1.5 Limitation of Liability
Invacare accepts no liability for damage arising from:
- Non-compliance with the user manual
- Incorrect use
- Natural wear and tear
- Incorrect assembly or set-up
- Unauthorised modifications and/or use of unsuitable spare parts
2 Safety
2.1 Safety Information

3 Product Overview
3.1 Intended Use
Aquatec Trans shall be combined with a bath lift to operate sliding and rotative movement, helping with the transfer from the bath tub rim to the bath lift. The product is intended as transfer aid for persons with mobility limitations.
Indication
If used without an assistant, the users must be able to keep their own balance. There are no contraindications known when using the product as intended. For the maximum user weight, see 7 Technical Data, page 3.
3.2 Scope of Delivery
The scope of delivery is shown in figure 1. Fig. 1 depicts the Aquatec Trans transfer board, a circular disk with dimensions indicated as 516 mm and 365 mm, and a thickness of 25 mm. It also displays the product packaging and an identification label with various symbols and information, including CE and UKCA markings, manufacturer details, lot number, production date, and reference numbers.
4 Setup and Usage (Fig. 3)
Fig. 3 illustrates the setup and usage of the Aquatec Trans. It shows the board placed on a bath lift, with the user positioned on the board and preparing to slide into the bath.
- Place the device on the bath lift, so that its side flap faces towards the user. The flap must be aligned with the flap of the bath lift. The turnable disk is unlocked by the weight of the user.
- Slide the turnable disk towards the bath tub rim.
- Sit down and carefully slide fully inwards on the bath lift.
- Rotate by 90 degrees into the bath tub so that you are correctly positioned for using the bath lift.
5 Maintenance
5.1 General Maintenance Information
This product is maintenance-free, provided that the cleaning and disinfection instructions are adhered to.
5.2 Cleaning and Disinfection

Take precautions for yourself and use appropriate protective equipment.
❗ NOTICE!
Wrong fluids or methods can harm or damage the product.
- All cleaning agents and disinfectants used must be effective, compatible with one another and must protect the materials they are used to clean.
- Never use corrosive fluids (alkalines, acid etc.) or abrasive cleaning agents. We recommend an ordinary household cleaning agent such as dishwashing liquid.
- Never use a solvent (cellulose thinner, acetone etc.) that changes the structure of the plastic or dissolves the attached labels.
For cleaning and disinfection in clinical or long-term care environments, follow your in-house procedures.
Cleaning Intervals

Regular cleaning and disinfection enhances smooth operation, increases the service life and prevents contamination. Clean and disinfect the product:
- before first use,
- regularly while it is in use,
- when it has been in contact with any body fluids.
Cleaning Instructions
❗ NOTICE! Maximum cleaning temperature: 60 °C by hand
- Clean the product by wiping down all generally accessible surfaces.
- Dry the parts with a cloth.
Disinfection Instructions
Method: Follow the application notes for the used disinfectant and wipe-disinfect all accessible surfaces.
Disinfectant: Ordinary household disinfectant.
Drying: Allow the product to air-dry.
6 After Use
6.1 Reconditioning
This product is suitable for reuse. To recondition the product for a new user, carry out the following actions:
- Inspection
- Cleaning and disinfection
For detailed information, see 5 Maintenance, page 2.
Make sure that the user manual is handed over with the product.
6.2 Disposal
Disassemble the product and its components, so the different materials can be separated and recycled individually. The disposal and recycling of used products and packaging must comply with the laws and regulations for waste handling in each country. Contact your local waste management company for information.
