Invacare provides a manufacturer's warranty for the product in accordance with its General Terms and Conditions of Business in the respective countries. Warranty claims can only be made through the provider from whom the product was obtained.

This CE- and UKCA-marked medical device conforms to: EU Medical Device Regulation, UK Medical Device Regulation, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, REACH, EN 12182 and related standards.
1.4 Service life
The expected service life of this product is three years when used in accordance with safety instructions and intended use, as stated in this manual. The effective service life can vary according to frequency and intensity of use.
1.5 Limitation of Liability
Invacare accepts no liability for damage arising from:
- Non-compliance with the user manual
- Incorrect use
- Natural wear and tear
- Incorrect assembly or set-up
- Unauthorised modifications and/or use of unsuitable spare parts
2 Safety

3 Product Overview
3.1 Intended use
This stepping aid is intended as an aid to enter into or get out of a bathtub for persons with mobility limitations.
Indication: If used without an assistant, the users must be able to keep their own balance. There are no contraindications known when using the product as intended. For the maximum user weight, see 7 Technical Data.
3.2 Scope of Delivery
The scope of delivery is shown in Figure 1. Figure 1 depicts the Aquatec Step with its overall dimensions: approximately 410 mm in length and 310 mm in width, with a height of 165 mm. The diagram indicates materials such as PVC, PP, and TPE.
4 Setup
For removing or installing the non-slip cover A, refer to Figure 2. Figure 2 illustrates the product with parts labeled A and B, likely referring to the non-slip cover and fastening buttons respectively.
⚠️ WARNING! Risk of Slipping
Make sure that all 10 fastening buttons B are securely fastened before using the product.
5 Maintenance
5.1 General Maintenance Information
This product is maintenance-free, provided that the cleaning and disinfection instructions are adhered to.
5.2 Cleaning and Disinfection
General Safety Information

Take precautions for yourself and use appropriate protective equipment.
ℹ️ NOTICE! Wrong fluids or methods can harm or damage the product.
- All cleaning agents and disinfectants used must be effective, compatible with one another and must protect the materials they are used to clean.
- Never use corrosive fluids (alkalines, acid etc.) or abrasive cleaning agents. We recommend an ordinary household cleaning agent such as dishwashing liquid.
- Never use a solvent (cellulose thinner, acetone etc.) that changes the structure of the plastic or dissolves the attached labels.
For cleaning and disinfection in clinical or long-term care environments, follow your in-house procedures.
Cleaning Intervals
ℹ️ NOTICE! Regular cleaning and disinfection enhances smooth operation, increases the service life and prevents contamination.
Clean and disinfect the product:
- before first use,
- regularly while it is in use,
- when it has been in contact with any body fluids.
Cleaning
- Remove detachable parts.
- Clean all parts by wiping down all generally accessible surfaces.
- Machine-wash the cover at max. 60 °C.
- Dry the parts with a cloth.
Disinfection Instructions
Method: Follow the application notes for the used disinfectant and wipe-disinfect all accessible surfaces.
Disinfectant: Ordinary household disinfectant.
Drying: Allow the product to air-dry.
6 After Use
6.1 Reconditioning
This product is suitable for reuse. To recondition the product for a new user, carry out the following actions:
- Inspection
- Cleaning and disinfection
For detailed information, see 5 Maintenance.
Make sure that the user manual is handed over with the product.
6.2 Disposal
Disassemble the product and its components, so the different materials can be separated and recycled individually.
The disposal and recycling of used products and packaging must comply with the laws and regulations for waste handling in each country. Contact your local waste management company for information.
