- Charge the battery completely before the first operation. Failure to do so may damage the battery.
- Ensure the key is in the off position before charging.

- Unplug the transformer when charging is complete.
A Match the charger socket and charger plug properly. Do not force.
Guide to Safe and Long Lasting Battery
How does the charge work? When the battery voltage is low, the charger outputs a large current. As the battery nears full charge, it outputs a smaller current. When full, it outputs very little current. The battery will continually charge but will not overcharge. It is best to charge for less than 24 hours.
How does the indicator light (LED) on the charger block display?
There are two LED indicator lights. The red light indicates charging, and the green light indicates a full charge.
Can other chargers be used?
For safe and efficient charging, use only the charger supplied by the original manufacturer.
How often should you charge the battery?
Charge time depends on use:
- If operating daily, charge after each use for a full charge the next day. Charging time can range from 4 to 8 hours.
- If operating weekly, charge the battery once a week.
- Always ensure the battery is fully charged before operating.
How can you get the maximum operating distance?
Driving conditions such as hills, uneven or soft surfaces, temperature, and user weight affect distance and running time. To maximize driving distance:
- Fully charge the battery before operating.
- Maintain a constant speed when possible.
- Carry only necessary items to reduce weight.
- Avoid intermittent driving.
Why is the power of the new battery weak?
Deep cycle batteries use unique technology. They charge quickly and last long after a full charge. While fully charged before leaving the factory, performance may change during transport due to temperature. Battery power lessens in high temperatures and charging time extends in low temperatures. The battery needs a few days to adapt to the environment for stable performance.
Steps to improve battery performance:
- A new battery must be fully charged before use.
- Low speeds are recommended for the first use. Do not travel too far until familiar with operation.
- Fully charge the battery after the second use.
- Battery capacity reaches 100% and driving time extends after four to five hours of charging and discharging cycles.
How to ensure battery life:
A fully charged battery provides better performance and extends battery life.
How to store scooter and battery:
- Charge your battery fully before storing.
- Store your scooter and battery in a warm, dry place.
- Avoid storing the scooter in areas with temperature variations.
Maintenance
With care and regular maintenance, the Speedy is designed for years of enjoyment and optimal performance.
Battery
- Make sure the battery is fully charged.
- Store the battery in a dry environment.
- Check electrode connections for corrosion.
- Never charge a frozen battery (warm for a couple days before charging).
Seat
- Clean the seat cover with a clean, damp cloth.
Cleaning
- A clean, damp, non-abrasive cloth works best for washing and cleaning the Speedy.
- Do not wash your Speedy with a water hose, as this may create an electrical short and damage the electrical system.
Wiring
- Regularly check all wire connections and wiring insulation for wear and damage, including the charger power cord.
Motor, Bearings and Transmission parts
- These components are lubricated and sealed by the factory; no further lubrication is needed.
- Store in a dry environment. Ensure electrical components avoid moisture. If they come into contact with moisture, dry them before use.
Basic Troubleshooting
Power stops while operating:
- Make sure the battery is properly inserted.
- Make sure the battery is properly charged.
Slow speeds while driving:
- Make sure the battery is fully charged.
