Caution: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not connect the FRFR-108 MK2 loudspeaker to a power outlet while the grille is removed.
Danger: Mounting heavy loads can cause serious injury and equipment damage. This work should only be performed by qualified individuals following safe mounting practices and all applicable safety and construction standards. These individuals must determine required load ratings, design factors, and appropriate mounting methods to meet static, dynamic, shock, and other load requirements. All work must comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Preparation
[bullet] Before placing, installing, or mounting any speaker product, inspect all hardware, cabinets, brackets, and associated equipment for damage. Missing, corroded, deformed, or non-load-rated components can significantly compromise installation strength and safety. Correct any such issues immediately.
[bullet] Use only hardware rated for the intended loading conditions and potential short-term, unexpected overloading.
[bullet] Ensure understanding and compliance with all local, state, and national regulations regarding the safety and operation of loudspeakers and related equipment, paying special attention to electrical and building codes.
Stand-Mounting
- [bullet] Always install loudspeakers in accordance with applicable electrical and building codes.
- [bullet] Install the loudspeaker according to its maximum weight. Verify that your stand or pole can support the loudspeaker's weight and observe all manufacturer safety precautions.
- [bullet] Do not mount multiple loudspeakers on the same stand or pole.
- [bullet] Always ensure the stand or pole is on a flat, level, and stable surface.
- [bullet] Inspect the stand (or pole and associated hardware) before each use; do not use equipment with worn, damaged, or missing parts.
- [bullet] Exercise caution in windy, outdoor conditions.
- [bullet] If you are unsure about handling the loudspeaker's weight, ask for assistance to lift it onto the stand or pole.
- [bullet] Ensure cables are positioned safely, away from performers, production crew, and the audience.
Sound Level
Exposure to extremely high noise levels can cause permanent hearing loss. The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has specified permissible exposure limits for noise levels. Exceeding these limits may result in hearing loss.
When using equipment capable of generating high SPL (Sound Pressure Levels), use hearing protection while the equipment is in operation.

Features
The FRFR-108 MK2 features a comprehensive set of controls and connectivity options:
- A. Power Input: Use the included power cable to connect this input to a power outlet. Ensure the Power Switch is set to OFF when connecting or disconnecting the cable.
- B. Power Switch: Use this switch to power the loudspeaker ON or OFF. Set the Volume 1/2 knobs to their minimum (counterclockwise) positions before powering on.
- C. Fuse: If the unit's fuse is blown, lift the tab to replace it with an appropriately rated fuse (indicated under the Power Input). Using an incorrect fuse rating can damage the unit and/or the fuse.
- D. Input 1/2: Connect your audio source to these inputs using a standard XLR cable or 1/4" (6.35 mm) TRS cable (sold separately).
- E. Volume 1/2: Adjust the volume for each input by turning these knobs. Set them to the minimum (counterclockwise) position before powering on the unit.
- F. Mix Out: Use a standard XLR cable (sold separately) to connect this output to a mixer or the input of another loudspeaker, such as another FRFR-108 MK2.
- G. HPF (High-Pass Filter): Press this button to reduce the speaker's low-end frequencies if the sound is muddy or boomy, often due to placement in a large room or on a stage. This simulates the speaker being placed on a standard speaker stand.
- H. Ground Lift: Press this button to reduce hum or noise.
- I. Bluetooth® Pair: Press and release this button to enter Bluetooth Pairing mode. Select "FRFR-108 MK2" from your device's Bluetooth settings. To disconnect a paired device, press and release this button again. Refer to section (5.1) Pairing a Bluetooth Device for more details.

Troubleshooting
- Distorted Sound: Lower the volume control of your sound source, musical instrument, or microphone.
- Hum when Cables Connected:
- Disconnect cables from input jacks to check for faulty cables.
- Use balanced cabling connections whenever possible.
- Ensure signal cables are not routed near power cables.
- Connect all audio equipment power cables to outlets sharing a common ground.
- Too Much Bass: Adjust the tone or EQ control on your sound source to reduce bass levels. This allows for higher playback volume before clipping (distortion).
- High-Pitched Whistling Noise (Microphones): This is likely feedback. Point the microphone away from the speaker.
- Cannot Hear Microphone Over Music: Turn down the music volume from your source.
- Cannot Connect via Bluetooth:
- Ensure your audio device and FRFR-108 MK2 are as close as possible and unobstructed by walls or furniture during connection attempts.
- Reset the Bluetooth connection on the FRFR-108 MK2 to disconnect from other devices and restart the search. If unsuccessful, power cycle the FRFR-108 MK2.
- Reset the Bluetooth connection on your audio device by toggling Bluetooth off and on in its settings. If issues persist, and you have previously paired, press and hold the Bluetooth Pair button on the FRFR-108 MK2 for 10 seconds, power cycle the speaker, and try pairing again.
- If the FRFR-108 MK2 was recently paired with another device within range, you may need to disconnect from that device first.
