Vital information is just a click away
The netbook-resolution, 800x480 high-contrast color TFT display provides quick access to X32's eight intuitive control screens. Dedicated rotary/push encoders allow parameter setting and source I/O assignment without navigating through multiple menu layers or complex owner's manuals.
Versatile signal and scene management
Signals can be assigned to eight DCA groups (Digitally Controlled Amplifier) for simultaneous group level control via motorized faders. The audio engineer can communicate with talent via the Talkback section's onboard mic or an external mic. X32's scene management allows snapshots of production mixes to be captured and recalled, with the option to save them to a USB stick. A dedicated custom control section with user-definable knobs and buttons allows for quick access to frequently used functions.
Powered by MIDAS & KLARK TEKNIK
The X32 development benefited from the expertise of sister companies MIDAS and KLARK TEKNIK. The programmable, high-grade mic preamps are based on a genuine MIDAS design, ensuring superior common mode rejection (CMRR) and extremely low harmonic distortion (THD). The graphical user interface (GUI) was a collaborative effort, making digital mixing easy and productive. FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) coding ensures rock-solid, ultra-low latency digital channel patching, enabling the X32 to handle up to 168 sources on 168 destinations, including the two AES50 ports. Future collaboration between BEHRINGER and MIDAS is anticipated.
Bus and Rear Panel Flexibility
The X32 provides extensive output connectivity, including 16 balanced XLR outputs, six balanced Line I/O on 1/4" TRS connectors, dual Phones outputs, and Main LCR (Left, Center, Right) buses. It also features 16 mix buses (configurable as subgroups) with inserts, 6-band parametric EQ, and dynamics processing, plus six independent Matrix Mixes with similar processing capabilities.
