Connections
The TM 110 features several connection points:
- 1. Terminal block (for models with terminal block)
- 2. Switches
- 3. LCC-S software connection
- 4. Output terminal block
- 5. Power supply terminal block
- 6. Cable gland
Connection of a Pt100 probe on terminal block: Ensure proper connection of the measuring probe to the terminal block. For 2-wire Pt100 probes, a shunt must be connected between terminals 2 and 2'.
Electrical Connections (NFC15-100 Standard)
Important: All electrical connections must be made by a qualified technician while the transmitter is de-energized.
For TM110-AO and TM110-AN models (0-10 V output):
- 4-wire connection: Standard connection for active output.
- 3-wire connection: Requires connecting the output ground to the input ground before powering up.
For TM110-PO and TM110-PN models (4-20 mA output - passive):
- 2-wire connection: Requires a power supply of 16-30 Vdc.
Diagrams illustrating 4-wire, 3-wire, and 2-wire connections for both voltage and current output models are provided.
Settings and Use of the Transmitter
Configuration
Caution: The transmitter must NOT be energized before configuration. Configure the transmitter using the DIP switches or the optional LCC-S software.
DIP Switch Configuration:
- Measuring Range Setting: Use switches 1, 2, and 3 to set the desired measuring range (e.g., 0 to +50 °C, -20 to +80 °C, etc.). Tables are provided to show the switch combinations for different ranges.
- Unit of Measurement Setting: Use switch 4 to select the unit of measurement (°C or °F).
LCC-S Software Configuration (Optional):
- Allows for flexible configuration, including intermediate ranges and offsets.
- The minimum difference between the high and low range values is 20.
- To configure via software, set DIP switches as indicated and connect the LCC-S cable to the transmitter.
- Configuration can be done via DIP switch OR software, not both simultaneously.
Mounting
Wall Mounting:
- Fix the ABS mounting plate to the wall using the provided screws and pins (Ø6 mm drilling).
- Insert the transmitter into the fixing plate and rotate clockwise until it clicks into place.
- The mounting plate is not included for ambient models. These models can be mounted directly using the 4 fixing holes inside the back housing.
Maintenance and Precautions
Maintenance: Avoid aggressive solvents. Protect the transmitter from cleaning products containing formalin.
Precautions for Use: Always use the device according to its intended purpose and within the specified technical parameters to ensure proper protection.
